From here.
Can't say I'm a fan... proportions are all out of whack.
If this is an indication of the direction of Mongooses new push back into miniatures, it's not doing anything to rebuild my enthusiasm. YMMV.

Seeing as this is Judge Dredd I can't say I'm that surprised.

Why Judge Dredd? Isn't Mongoose 15 years late to take advantage of the Judge Dread movie hype, if there ever was one?
Only the prepainting looks okay

Or they're a couple years ahead of the hype.

Remake or reboot? Or (shudder) sequel? That will be the question facing cinema audiences confronted by a new, big screen Judge Dredd movie in 2012 . . .
(The film has a budget of $50 million and will be in 3-D. Screenplay will be by novelist Alex Garland, who also wrote The Beach, 28 Days Later and Sunshine. Vantage Point director Pete Travis has been hired to direct it.)

The one with his gun out is fine, the one with the Daystick looks kind of wonky. But then again JD comics aren't exactly hotbeds of realistic anatomy either.

Please let Judge Dredd the movie have ABC warriors in it. Ammerstein was the business.

The company that owns Dredd bought Mongoose because of the quality business relationship they had with each other over Dredd licensing.

Those look like recasts from the first run.
Does this mean that Mongoose is back in the miniatures business?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I like that shoulderpad. They should just sell the shoulderpad alone.

The shoulder on that second judge would be huge!!!
As for "movie hype", Dredd has quite a big fan-base without the movie, thank you very much. If we get very lucky, they might try again soon anyway.
