Hey all,

I've only ever come to these forums a couple of times as I'm an avid warseer browser, but I like a lot of the stuff I've seen here now and just thought I'd share some of my stuff I've been working on recently.

I started collecting/painting 40k about the time 3rd edition came out... 1997... can't remember if it was out right when I started but I do know months after I got my first marine combat squad I got the starter set. ANYway...

I've amassed a huge amount of minis since then, most of which are sitting unpainted. My main 40k army (if I have a main one) would be black templars, but recently I started feeling nostalgic to when I would sit and stare at pictures of ultramarines fighting all the other races in white dwarf and the catalogues and rulebook etc. I decided I wanted to try and recreate that soooo... I've been painting some of my extra marines in the same sort of colours as the ultras from back then. They're not exactly the same, as I've been using foundation paints and washes, but they're similar.

Unfortunately I've never really had the patience to paint well on figures... hardly have the patience to do it at all, so they're all tabletop-ish standard.

Here's some pics in verious stages of w.i.p. the rhino's done and a couple others just need some details and basing, a couple need a tiny bit more. The veteran with a powerfist needs a new powerfist arm thanks to me being clumsy and not being able to find the broken off appendage.
