Been on Dakka for over a year and haven't made a proppa blog! The Time to fix that is now!
This blog is going to be very general in terms of what I do in the Hobby. Based on public response, I may deciede to create more specific blogs (as long as its cool with the mods, hate to be another spammer! ) It will include my two 40k armies, Ultramarines and Imperial Guard, along with other random projects I am picking up.
Without further adue, here is my first update. So far, I have acceptable pics of a Crimson Fist Captain and some Sanguinary Guard which I'm attempting to convert into a Count-As Blood Angels chapter. I was thinking of calling them the Angels of Absolution.
I'm really liking how this guy is turning out. The NMM gold looks ace to me, along with his cloak. I'm trying to use him to improve my skill and (hopefully, with any luck) start doing commission work.
Here's the workings of an Angel of Absolution. I'm trying to make them seem a bit more mechanical and clunky compared to their graceful and ellegant cousins. The hydrolic supports need alot of work, but I have had sucess with a bionic arm. Biggest pain is removing all those blood angels symbols and blood drops!
As always, let me know what you think.

UPDATE
With the crappy weather in the area, I could only take a pic of this angel's bionics inside. I'm quite impressed at how these are turning out, as I never imagined myslef for this kind of detail.

Two updates in one day! Made some progress on some stormtrooper conversions this morning. I would buy the GW Karskins, but I really hate metal models. Plus, it gave me an excuse to get the Command squad box
The Squad thus far, I like the extra equipment I added o n the comms guy. Sarge is going to look good once he's done, IMO. I'm eventually going to add more 5 more guys with another meltagun. These guys are going to go tank hunting with a vengence!
Heres the powerplant on the sarge. Its simply somre rough pieces of card and the electronic parts on the rebreathers. I'm adding brass wires to represent comms, as I figured elite soldiers of the Imperium would need the best levels of comunication. Also, all weapons aside from the melta guns are getting hooked up to these with gituar and insulated copper wire.

He's actually an OOP captain from the old metal command squad box sets. He was also available for individual purchase a while back when I first started. He's supposed to have a storm bolter, but Its MIA so I just used one of the Deathwatch Bolters instead.
I'd also like to add that I love that model, I've had 3 since I started playing.

UPDATE
Sorry for the wait, been busy trying to get these suckers painted. So far, my priest is comming along well, and my captain is nearly completed.
Here's the priest so far. The NMM on the hammers has been improved, these were just lines I tried to use to see how the light would reflect. I'm still torn between making him an empire priest or into an Inquisitorial/ IG priest.
Scrolls on his back
Crimson Fist cptain
NMM Shoulder pad
Angel of Absolution is nearly ready for priming.
As always tell me what yall think.

i like the nmm on the priest, but the skin and the hair on the captain are too similar, try darkening the hair.
