Here is the beginning of my "Grom the Paunch" project. For Grom I used a Rackem model. For his banner waver I used an old Blood Bowl model. The Banner was from the new GW Boar Boys box. The chariot was scratch built with bits and green stuff. Groms Ax was made with plasticard and green stuff. So any way I will post more pics soon.

I love the overall feel of this conversion! One thought is that the "hitch" might be a little too long between the wolves and the chariot, or perhaps the wheels on the chariot are too far back- something looks a little too long about that space.

Let's see some paint

Great to see something different on here...

Agree with RiTides if you just move the wheels 1cm or so forward it would look more balanced.

Will you be giving the gobbo some reigns or some means of controling wolves?

Yes(Gobbo) I have some chain that matches the chain on his fist size wise. It will go to both end's of the board on th wolves backs. Yea, I definitely need to move the wheels forward a bit. I can also shorten up the hitch. Grom is so fat I could not fit him in the chariot all the way. lol..That is why there is that emty space between him and the gobbo. Thank you both for your input. Much appreciated.

Hmmm...if he is that large could you tilt the - I'm not sure what you would call it - ?rim out a bit so it looks like it is being forced out by his girth?

That's an option. Do you mean the sides of the chariot?

Here is the shortened version. Thanks for the advice. It looks way better.

I think the model looks pretty good. Though I have to admit, I am a big fan of the original Grom sculpt, so part of me struggles to see this as the old fellow. Still, the model is good regardless. Though I suggest finding bigger wolves. Those little ones look like they'd have a hard time pulling a chariot with something that big on it.

Looking good so far - impressive effort that will, I am sure, pay off in the end!

Thank you. Those wolves will have to do for now. I couldn't find anything else at my favorite spot for bits. The old Dire wolves might look good. Back to work!

Always nice to see old Rackham models finding a new home, and a new life!
