I don't see an issue with this. more gaming blogs = more choice, more info being spread and shared. besides, I never thought BOLS was that great to begin with...

**edit** the interview is about 45 minutes long, so it's a bit of a listen, but it is pretty interesting to have the other side of the story.

But surely, post more information then what was given

I get a bit annoyed when I see such a lazy attempt to get clicks.

Shoot, I even went to the blogsite and there is no information there either.

Yeah, I'd prefer a transcript or a summary too, though I can see why they are doing it they way they are...

I'm a sucker for drama like this so I gave it a listen. He pretty much restated the court documents that were posted + other things. It definitely humanized him for me and TBH, I felt a little bad for him.

Hopefully this will be the last of the drama and they can both get back to manufacturing and advertizing. Let your products speak for themselves boys.

I sort of, feel the same way - and its nothing personal.

If, information wanted to be shared, I'd highly suggest to put at least some meat into the thread - at least a sampler of what the info is.
Then a linkback to the source, even if its promoing yourself.

they didn't lose. The case was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction, and I'm pretty sure you can refile such a complaint if you wanted to.

Well just listened to the podcast and I know who I am not buying any foam from....... that is a pretty messed up story.

Off Topic: It also really frustrates me when people open a thread for something and instead of content they just have a link to another site. It's happened a few times in the M&P forums and here in News and Rumors a couple times. Grrr.

On Topic: Anyone that listened to it care to give a 30 second run down to their side?

Ok so the two foam companies (outrider and battlefoam) are from the same city in Arizona. Two guys know each other and BF got pissed off at the outrider dude for "taking" his idea and starting a company that directly competes with him. Outrider owner got cease and desist (or something like that) against BF to stop him from harassing him.

When that ran out BF sued outrider but not in Arizona in Massachuesetts. According to outrider he also got a witness to make up a story about some stuff that never happened. Judge dismissed for lack of jurisdiction because BF couldn't prove that outrider did any business in Mass. So now they are talking about a settlement between the two sides (no information given).

Take with a grain of salt because it was the outrider owner telling the story but the BF owner came out looking like a really bad dude.

the rest of the foam wars details can be found with a search of dakka's previous threads on the matter... the only new thing i heard from listening to the foam wars part was that apparently a settlement is in the works (but not finalized) between the two parties.

I will admit that BF has an awesome product, but if the stuff said in this podcast is actually true then I can guarantee that Romeo will never get a penny from me. The impression I get from this portrayal of the events is that he is a massive bully who is trying everything that he can to ensure his monopoly of the industry. I know this is just one side of the story, but it sure makes things look very bad for Romeo and I would be shocked if he doesn't attempt to defend himself against these allegations if they are in fact not true, but considering the fact that these two are still in negotiations i would assume that this guy isn't lying as it could turn out rather poorly for him. I guess time will tell.
