So im about to start painting my new Cryx Battlegroup. I'm moving over to warmachine from 40k and only have gw paints. To paint the standard cryx scheme what gw colors should I use? Or should I just go buy the cryx p3 paint set?

Hmmm. Upon using Cryx Bane Base on my Slayer, I found that it's essentially similar to Catachan Green, just add in a bit of Chaos Black for maximum results. Add some Bleached Bone to that mix for highlights.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

your GW paints will be fine. I find Codex Grey with Fortress Gray highlights work just fine.

Any idea what Reaper Master triad packs will work well to replicate the standard Cryx color scheme?

Really, it depends on which Cryx scheme you're trying to replicate.

The new one?

The remix one?

Or the really, really old metallic scheme?

Personally, I find that the easiest way to replicate the Bane colors is to use the Bane colors. There's no good analogue in the GW/VGC ranges (neither includes a green-gray), but if I had to mix it, I'd say adding black (or Codex Gray, for the higlight) to Rotting Flesh would be a good start. The P3 range tends to have a lot of colors that aren't easily replicated by other manufacturers (other than VMC, if you have access to the full range).
