Right guys, I'd like somebody to make me a legion scheme please with the paints I have/will buy.
So I use GW paints, I have sunburst yellow, warlock purple, blood red, mechrite red, skull white, chaos black, chainmail, baal red and devlan mud ink washes and matt varnish. I'm thinking of buying scorpion green and enchanted blue, but if you guys have any other suggestions I can afford 3 GW paints from my FLGS on monday with the money I've got lying around. So I have a carnivean and lylith to paint atm, and a spawning vessel on order from my FLGS, I'm thinking of ordering some rippers but the less paints I buy, the more stuff I can afford so yeh. If your going to mix paints then that's fine I have a palette so I can mix, just make sure you put ratios in for me because I'll mix it into a spare pot and I'm a perfectionist so I have to have everything exact. Last thing is I would like it to look sort of gothicy like the legion base scheme, but not the same as it, otherwise I'd just buy the legion paint set. Sorry for all the specifics, but thanks!

Here's a real, real easy and quick wash scheme I came up with. All you need is 3 washes: GW Gryphon Sepia (brown), GW Leviathan Purple (Purple), and Game Color Skin Wash (the orange-ish claws and details). Prime white, throw on 3-4 layers of wash, let it dry, and then pick out details with appropriate colors around the cuticles, teeth, and other misc parts.

Real easy on the budget.

let me start off saying that theres nothing wrong with a limited pallet, you just need to learn a few techniques and how to mix a bit and you can get great results.

If your doing the traditional everblight scheme and dead set to gw paint then i would suggest spacewolf gray, shadow gray, and scorched brown for everblight.
i would say prime white and paint all the flesh in spacewolf gray, then make a wash out of the shadow gray to shade it.b (im sre you can find plenty of help on making a wash in the painting forum here.) I would start the boney plates with scorched brown and wash it with devlan mud and a thin wash of chaos black, maybe highlight by mixing in a tiny bit of white and yellow to some scorched brown on your pallet.
you can probably just wash the mouths and such with red wash a few times and they'll probably come out ok. youll probably need to go back over the teeth in white.
you can probably do the nyss the same as the beasts with brown and black clothing, if your feeling adventurous you might want to heavily thin some red wash for the nyss faces and beast 'gills' to make them look like theres some blood in them but thats not something i would try right away.

I'm following clams' scheme but substituting my own washes and a purple made wash into the scheme. I'll try and get pics soon if I can.
