Subject: How Much Support?

The question is; "How much support can a Warmachine army use?"
That is, how many points should one use for models like the Journeyman Warcaster, Squire, Arlen Strangeways, Mechaniks, Reinholdt and any of the other models that enhance other models abilities rather than add combat abilities of their own?
At 15 points, I've got Junior. I have a Squire and Reinholdt ready to paint. Should I add a support unit such as these at 20 points, or should I go for a five-point unit and wait until later for one of these guys?
Here's the 15-point list:
Haley
JWC
Ironclad
Lancer
Charger
I would really like a few more shots, so I'm thinking of a shooty unit. There aren't many candidates at five or fewer points. At this point, I'm kind of leaning toward the Black 13th and Reinholdt for the first expansion.
An alternative would be to swap the Lancer for another Charger and convert the Ironclad into a Defender then add a unit of Long Gunners. This would qualify for theme tier one and thus the LG would be only five-points.
Thoughts on the course for expansion would be welcome.

haley at any level is amazing, i feel she doesnt need a squire but it doesnt hurt, you can prolly save reinholt for your more shooty casters.
i dont play cygnar, but i always see LWC with either a defender or hunter, and its pretty good. yout above list looks fine.

Haley absolutely loves Squire. The squire is arguably the best of all the warcaster attachments and When I play Haley I never leave home without it.

i would say the squire will do more for that list than the journeyman. the 1 point remaining might be best spent on a stormsmith but reinholt should work too. haley herself could get 3 pistol shots on feat turn and surprise someone.

Agreed, and IF I had to pick two it would be the Squire and Reinholdt.
These two are no-brainers with Haley as far as I'm concerned due to all the abilities they bring.

Jr is a bit underrated I believe. He has 3 focus, can cast arcane shield and comes with a boostable hand cannon. Also lest we forget he has arcaine bolt and a magic sword, both can be very handy against menoth cryx and skorne. While I like the squire he is really a passive piece the extended control range is really the big thing he brings. If I had the points for jr or a sqire and reinhodt for hailey I would take jr.
Just thought I would throw out a different perspective.

I think we all love the journeyman, its an amazing support model with some great weapons. my only complaint with it is the low accuracy stats.
The reason i say take a squire with Haley is that her feat and a very potent spell both use her control area and that spell costs a great deal of her focus so an extra focus from the squire to allocate is always good.

I would also go with squire, extended control area, extended feat area, one extra focus for three turns and one reroll to missed magic attack per turn is so much buffs that the JWC pales in comparison.
