hey everyone I have been lurking on the boards for way to long and I thought It was about time I joined up and added something to a site I enjoy greatly. I will probably be starting a Plog thread for all my stuff which is currently focusing on Orks, but will soon include other 40k, Fantasy Battles, and maybe Privateer Press stuff. Can't wait to post some pics and show you guys and gals some of my stuff. I will probably use this thread to post a picture just as a learning experience so I can figure out how to do it properly before starting a serious Plog thread.

p.s. Does this board have a spellcheck.

Welcome! And no, no spellchecker to my knowledge. Posting pics couldn't be easier, when you are making a new post or thread there are buttons to insert the code for you. You can even host them here on dakka!

Why can't I get my avatar to work?

Where are you trying to work it from? On your profile page you should simply be able to enter a url for the image?

I am just trying to load it from my computer. It is a 20kb 80x80 pixel bitmap.

Sometimes when uploading to Dakka there's a wait involved. Just try again and then give it half an hour.

I got it. Just had to change it from a bitmap to a jpeg. I will have to look into firefox. Part of this whole thing is to also learn more about computers. Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Are you using internet explorer? Firefox is superior to it in many ways, although it's by no means perfect.
