Hi guys, I was looking around for a friendly forum and i've found it. im new to the gamesworkshop hobby i started january 2009 and have collected a small SM army.

Hi again Thanks for all the greetings, im starting my new dark angels army its a DIY kind of successor chapter and ive come up with the name "Dark Hawks" so far the only difference I can think of so far is the Emblem/iconograpy im thinking that there will be squads of normal Dark Angels but alot more of the successor chapter, any ideas?

Welcome to Dakka bud any Freind of the Space Marines is a freind of mine. Your successor chapter the Dark Hawks sounds like a fast attack, deep striking in your face type of chapter. Im thinking lots of Jump Packs, deep striking terminators and your own spin on a ravenwing force. I love the sound of it already makes me want to do it myself lol

pj brains, is there a GW in blackpool? cos if there is did a guy called Doug used to work in my local GW in swansea and he moved to blackpool

My chapter is probably going to have 3 small companys and by small i mean SMALL untill i can find a decent job for money, i know the 3rd company are going to be actual dark angels that are aiding the succesor chapter so far thats it

There is indeed a GW store in Blackpool, Haven't met a guy called Doug yet only been in for a few games as i have recently started the hobby again after a 14 year break, ill keep my eye out tho.

Cool they look a bit like the Angels of Redemption i think it will be a cool chapter when you get it going i like the name....Dark Hawks....definetly has a ring to it.

DING! IDEA my chapter is going to be a successor chapter of joined lost chapters related to the dark angels!!!!! so far the name i got is The Joined Darkness
im thinking 2 tac squads in each "Company2 so far to get going ill choose which vehicles and other units soon but so far i know theres
1st company:dark hawks
2nd company:--------------
3rd company:dark angels

Cool well you will have to keep me posted on how its coming. You have actually got me reading through the Dark Angel Codex now thinking of my own ideas lol

Good news I've been painting nearlly all night and ive finished what is my first atempt at the "The joined Darkness" 3rd company, tactical squad 1 i think theyr'e pretty good tbh and im proud the only flaw is that my cat layed down on them and all the transfers stuck to her for some reason she hates space marines but loves tyranids lol i'll hopefully have pics up tomorrow

UPDATE:
I have thought about this and have come to a conclusion "The joined Darkness" will have 3 Known companies:

1st company:-Dark Hawks
2nd company:-Death stalkers (Deathwing spin off/Twist)(name seems familiar i need to look it up)
3rd company:-Dark angels lost

ive also put a little command squad together strewn of 5 chapters it has a dark angel, a blood raven, a ultramarine, i think a knights of gryphonne (first army chapter i did but i hated orange), and a novamarine pics tommorow.
