Anyone play this? What do you think of the game?

It's basically a Pulp Superheroes game, their own setting. It's a skirmish game, anywhere from just 2 models per side on a very small table to larger games of groups of supers.

I play tested this game before it's release.

I really like it. Where most superhero games super heroes wrapped into a game (which usually doesn't do well), this one is a wargame with a Superhero theme.

The powers are well balanced, the miniature sculpts are awesome and the rules are very well done.

You can download the rules and beginner cards for free and proxy to see if it's your forte.

The only drawback at the moment is they have their own universe, which detracts from those who want to play established heroes. But I'm glad they didn't go with an established universe. It would mean that they took a theme and wrapped a wargame around it instead of the other way around. This way when they create hero's and villans, they have a clean slate and can put them in the game without preconceived notions of what that hero or villain ca do.

I highly recommend you at least check out the rules and cards and fight some proxy fights.

I agree with CCotD, its a great game. It is surprisingly intuitive and you're capable of a lot of things you see in comics, but in a way that makes sense as a game.

I highly recommend picking up the Heroes and Villians boxsets. You can get a lot of game out of those.

Also of note is the "Agenda" system that sets specific goals for each side, for each game.
