The report as a whole was good. I felt that due to the tank line for the SW the game was seriously favoring them due to the lack of Terrain on the table (Nothing to break LoS overly on the table). The Deathwing terminator army should be a run into a assault and then head for cover ASAP, if it was ravenwing, He should have be trying to dodge and weave between terrain to avoid LoS. but again this is only one man opinion. overall, it was a good game.

Going to have to say that the decision on the lack of terrain not hindering either side of the battle was a HUGE failure in foresight for the Dark Angel player...pretty much the way it looked with his deployment, it was game over from turn 1 for the Dark Angels...

By the time I was halfway through the video I felt like I was watching baby seals being clubbed...all be it green baby seals...

Checked out your report and your blogspot. After taking it all in, I've a feeling the lists you are playing and seeing a lot of is a huge reflection of low terrain on tourney style games. You build a min/max alpha strike SW army, which is fine to do, but is really dependent on very sparse tables.

While I appreciate the effort to post a battle report, the biggest thing I take from the report is:

1. Don't play on with sparse terrain; it's just a shooting gallery and can literally make or break an entire game by a single die roll (the roll to go first). Have someone put the exact same army across from you and you'll quickly see just how important that single die roll is.
2. Don't line up your army right in front of a gun line out in the open, especially when the gun line has first turn. It appeared your opponent had no idea just what he was facing.

Finally, pics (or video in this case) of a proxy army: meh. Not much to really look at.

Thanks for sharing. Definitely opened up my eyes when I see lots of these alpha strike armies and why they seem to do so well.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I wanted to place 2-3 pieces more of terrain.there was kind of a blank spot in the terrain setup deployment was table quarters And I choose to make him deploy in the side in which I could alpha strike
