Lootas--$24.75 for four (and a big mek but who cares). That works out to be $6.19 per model. 15 points a model works out to be $0.41 a point. Ouch!

BFG Kroot Warsphere: $66 US.

15 points per model is quite a lot tho! try something cheaper.
Can you still get Skaven Clanrat slaves? They used to be 2pts a model in a regiment box of 20.

I think that the Poison Wind globaiders take the cake.

10$ per model, they have the same point cost. ^^

Here a box of terminators is $60 for 5. There is no way I can justify $12/model. That price stopped my Marines army in it tracks. It is also what made AoBR such a good deal.

My army of fully converted sisters of battle counts-as grey knights? The bits run me about $200 a squad (OH HI IM A BITS SITE, 40 POUNDS SHIPPING ON YOUR ORDER IS COOL YEAH?)

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes...

It does seem expensive, but you dont need to be a genius at conversion to use the burna bits & the mek bits along with spare boyz legs & bodies to knock together 4 more Lootas.

At least, I found that anyway.

I get around the cost of Bloodknights by just using the Chaos knights painted up as undead.

Why would you ever pay for lootas? unless your trying to get burnas? Look at there name and fluff, they are lootas, they steal there weapons, rip some las cannons off of something and glue them onto your ork, voila a loota. Even cheaper if the guy you get the las cannons off of isn't looking, ah looting at it's best.

Seriously though how does the loota fluff not scream conversion time at people? Out of the 20 lootas I have only 4 are from the box set, and I only have them cause I wanted the burny bits from the box.

Probably would be more constructive to compare plastic kits to plastic kits and metal to metal.. Obviously full metal units will be more expensive model per model

Haha. I like how everyone is ignoring this... Saddly, the poor wraithguard are eclipsed by some of these other horrors:

I'm assuming you mean metal infantry models:

Rough Riders clocking in at a svelte $12.25 each, min squad: $61.25, max squad: $122.50.
Necron Immortals/Pariahs: $14 each - min squad: $70, max squad: $140.
Obliterators/Tomb Spyders are up there at $22.75 each - min squad: $22.75, max squad: $66.75.
MegaNobz are $19.75 each, min squad: $59.25, max squad: $197.50.
Ogryn are also $22.75 each, but the min squad size is $66.75, maxing at $227.50 for a full squad.

Mega Nobs are £12 each, which = $18. $180 for a full squad!

Setting aside extra special troops like Mega Nobs and Obliterators...

Legion of the Damned at £5 a figure, which is rather a lot for basic foot troops in an army.

But then you have the BA Death Company which is £20 for just 5 plastic men. And you need at least two boxes so a unit is £40 for just ten space marines with a few extra baubles on their armour. Is that $66? strewth!

Ork kommandos are 22.50£ for 5 models that are the minimum , 10 are 45.00£ , 15 are 67.50£ and so are tankbustas .

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

That's only if you use the real exchange rate. With GW's crazy exchange rate Mega Nobz are $23.75 each or $237.50. Once again showing anyone in North America should be buying from UK discounters too.

It might be good to list these in both minimums as well as maximums by unit size:

Waithguard - 3x minimum = $45. 10x maximum = $150.00
Meganobs - 3x minimum = $59.25. 10x maximum = $192.50
Immortals & Pariahs - 5x = minimum $70. Maximum $140

So even though Wraithguard and Meganobs cost more per model, and as such more for a full unit, in terms of being able to field the basic minimum to even put on the table, Immortals & Pariahs are the winner. The warlock is irrelevant to this, as it's not required - it's like arguing the meganobs are more expensive because you can attach a battlewagon. A better example would be Grey Knights, which require a Justicar.

Grey Knights: 4x minimum + justicar = $47.75(2 box sets @ $34.50 + justicar $13.25)
Grey Nights: 9x maxium + justicar = $96.25 (4 box sets @ $69 + single heavy weapon fig $14 + justicar $13.25)

Also, this is more effort then I'm willing to put in while not at work, but which is the most expensive by points cost to field?
