The best part about this game was I finally got my first ever win in 40K. I've had my backside handed to me by Tyranids in every game so far.

The Eldar player had a vehicle with a squad of Howling Banshees in it. A dozen of them I think
2- warlocks
10-15 shinnig spears
1- Wraithlord
3 other squads but I dont remember who they were. But one had what looked like a machine gun.


I had for my Dark Angels

Belial
Azreal
Deathwing Squad #1 with 3-TH & SS, Heavy flamer, and the Sgt had a power sword and storm bolter.
Deathwing Squad #2 with Apothecary, 3-PF & Storm Bolters, and the Sgt had a Storm Bolter and Chain Fist. Belial went with this unit.
DA Command squad which Azreal attached himself to.
3 - Dreadnoughts, 1 was venerable and all three had Lascannons

Besides having my CC Deathwing unit placed in Deep Strike, everyone started near the back. As my opponent advanced slowly toward me I was moving/shooting and slowly hurting him. Azreal and the Cmd Squad stayed behind blocking terrain until they were close enought to charge in. They took out the squad with the machine gun looking piece before heading toward the Warlocks, but were interupted and based by the Wraithlord.

Belial took his DW unit and went after the vehicle. They destroyed it, but after the howling banshees disembarked. I tried to consolidate but only got a 1 on the roll. They the howling banshees swarmed in and attacked up close.

The Dreadnoughts stayed close to the rear taking out at least 1-2 pieces out of units every turn.

When the CC deathwing unit finally came in, the heavy flamer smashed a infantry unit taking out 9 of them in the action they deep striked. Then they closed on the Warlocks basing both of them and the squad with them.

Unfortune for Belial his unit was wiped out by the Howling Banshees and he finally fell after he alone had taken out 4 of them. While he fell the Dreadnoughts were positioning themselves to blast the banshees. The command Squad couldnt hit the Wriathlord but Azreal did and in a big way. With me needing a 6 to hit the Wraithlord, I got two throught on one hit. When Azreal got all his saves against him I was hoping. the next turn I hit one more 6 to take him out. I was excited to kill it.

The CC Deathwing unit took out all of the warlocks.

Then as all 5 members of the CC DW unit moved one way . Azreal heading another with the 3 remaining marines from the comand squad with him, and the Dreadnoughts closeing in from the rear the Eldar player rolled a 6 which ended our game on the 7th turn. He was running as I close, but it felt good to finally get my first win.

In future i'd advise looking at some other reports before hand if your planning on posting one, even if you loose people can point out where you went wrong and offer help.
I'd make notes during games so you can write out a turn by turn breakdown, also try to remember what the opponent has... Warlocks arn't a valid HQ choice, i assume you mean Farseers.
Some pictures could help aswell, if you don't take psycical one you can mock some up in vassal or paint.

I agree with dayve110. The layout is really the big thing for me. Pics are real nice, but aren't necessary.
