I am surfing the web and looking for more stuff too order as I am bored out of my mind Here in Afghanistan. I am trying to finish my US Tank Co. , but also looking toward another list. I like the Armored panzergrenadier Company, but also like the Fallschirmjager and Panzer co. Anyone got any opinions on which way to go and what is a good source book for the list? Haven't looked into it and kinda short on books here.

I would go for the Fallschirmjagers. You can use them mid or late war, and once the early war Med book comes out, I expect a Crete list.
You can then add the support you want depending on what period you want to play

there was an ebay army i just bought, for hell's highway fallschirmjager, still trying to see how they work out. I am also trying to paint some and see what else i want. thanks for the input. any suggestions on good combo's of combat platoons and support? I have been using army builder for making up list and ideas on what to order.

here is a copy of 3.7 cm anti air gun team....has magnet so can be switched to a half track. was going to make a core of support units and change around the main list.

I would go for a panzer army if I were you, or a Gepanzred grenadier army. Both have lots and lots of things to reduce your foe to red sauce. Also I like the look of the flak team.

thanks I am kinda drawn to them gepanzer grenadier too, love those half tracks. I am going to paint a group of support units and see which way I go. I had to add some more detail to the base. threw some grass looks much better.

No problem, if your painting support weapons i recomend HMG teams, its my experience that they are the ones that are eayset to work with. And they also alow for creative use of alternative scenery bitzs

My good sir, you have won a cookie. infantry and arty is youer friend ALWAYS And hummels are good for everything really. schwere lists are very point costy. For air I recommend Stutkas, do not bother with other planes. And remeber when fighting US/British paras, NEVER assault them. blow them to pieces. Hummels and Diana half track AT units works very well

well lucky for me I have ebay and too much time on my hands. I won the following: DAK box set FOW / Panzer Lehr box set / panzer III(J) and Panzer IV(E-F) box sets. So I am also looking at doing a DAK co.

Well thats an well done list, go for it. You can always make your own army afterwards, no shame in that at all.

I will do so...but being deployed in Afghanistan right now, might be a bit more to that than usual

I am still working my over different list and looking at armies on the forums and on e-bay for different ideas. I love the combined arms that German armies offer. This is an addicting Hobby.

With the new Earth and Steel book I have switched over to a Panzer Lehr Grenadier force that contains a lot of those awesome panzerschreks....and some extra armor to round out the force. I lost air but gained a few other items so I am good with the trade off. I am going to be playing this new list so will post pics and the results.

I've never been too fond of air support anyway, so I think that's a good trade. Air support has always been a little too much Hit or Miss for me.

BTW, what branch and MOS are you? I have some buddies from BCT over there probably hoofing around some 60mm mortars.

Contractors..., for Diplomatic Security....we run to all the cities and FOB's...right now out in RC West. But I have always had good luck with air...even when down to one die. In some of those missions against tank Co. its a can be your best friend. I saved one game that way. But still the points on the list I have now for what I got ....I can live without some air.

My Panzer list proved victorious...against a very good player and list. The new Earth and Steel book adds some nice list with some much better point values. I was able to tackle the new Polish Tank co. list and pulled the win, but only buy the skin of my teeth. It was a great game, and learned a bit about my list and some short comings. Air on this list would be great. My arty didn't do so well but the Puma's stole the show. They managed to knock out and tie up at least 6 Cromwell tanks , 3 Achilles, and 2 Stewarts. It was only going into turn 5, that they were knocked out by a concerted attack. Pz IV / H, not so hot....didnt match up too well against the Cromwell. The grenadiers and Jadgpanzers...were very well and knocked out another 6 tanks with only be bailed twice. I will post pics....but great fight and great opponent.
