Hi! I am new to Dakka and am trying to find my way around. We are a family of gamers. I play, my husband plays and my daughters play 40K. We have been playing since 1999.
Sorry we just laid the table up for a new game and broke out the 5th ed codex for my Tyranids. You know how two stubborn gamers can be. In the new rules can lictors/zoanthropes deploy separately or do they have to stay in unit cohesion?

G'day, real picture, rare here, normally there are clown hats on real pics!
Um, I think Lictors deploy seperately but are bought as a single unit choice?
Others will correct me if I am wrong, but welcome to nerd city!

Thanks lol. Least I didnt post my blood elf Bliz Con photo! Anyhow the codex is really confusing. In 4th ed. it blatently states that the lictors & zoans can play independent of each other. In the 5th ed. it mentions NOTHING. So let the turrets fits begin!  I hope they fix this soon!

Your welcome. In 5th edition, they are totally independent of each other. I didnt play Nids in 4th edition, in fact, I only started playing again after a ten year break, so I only knew 2nd ed up till now.
But yeah, they're not linked in any way...looks like there's a flame war brewing elsewhere though...
