I got it.

I do enjoy the turn based, although I have discovered something quite disturbing. It appears that all the dice rolls concerning the game a predetermined before hand. I tested my theory out with an event, in which my beastman wouldn't pick up the ball after kick off, even though he only needed a 2+.

At length, I saved before kick off and kept redoing the event to see if it would change. In about 50 attempts he never once picked up the ball, which seems mathematically impossible when he should have a 5/6 chance to pick up the ball...

Aye, the AI issues are the only thing stopping it from being my fave game in the past year.

The 360 also has an odd bug where at least 95% of the time, any injury rerolls will roll the same roll a second time. It might also be a side effect of the predetermined rolls as you suggest LoH.

Makes Apothecaries a waste of time, as you only use them when you need to save someone, and so far there is only one time I have got a lesser roll.
However even that was dead to Badly hurt. Everytime I have rerolled Sinj or Badly hurt other than that time it's come up the same. Probably talking in the region of twenty rolls.

Thats not right.

I'm just hoping the next one allows them to take a bit of a look at the AI.

My theory would also explain how the AI is at times able to pull off some seriously bull moves to come back from behind and tie the game. Especially when you're facing a team that's play style counters yours (Power teams vs high AG teams).

I've been waiting for a another chance to redue my experiment with a better scope and got one last night. I again encountered the ball problem, and I did more extensive experimentation.

I redid 20 attempts to pick up the ball, and all failed. I attempted it then 20 times with another character (with sure hands) and it again failed all 20 times. I also noticed this time that the ball always landed in the same place all 40 permutations (I did not notice this before so I'm not sure). The AI always placed the ball in the same place until I reorganized my line for a different try. It landed somewhere else but in the same place each time for that organization.

I actually want to test my own kick offs next to check for a similar result.

To everyone else, the game is good but keep in mind that it's supposed be re-released this winter with a ton of additional teams. I already own the 360 version but plan to hit up Steam for the PC version when the rest of the teams release.
