Sup, the name's TheDesolateAir.
I'm a new Ork player, and i'm expanding my reaches throughout the Universe!
And I had some questions, how do Orks defeat long rangers like Tau? I know I gotta get them in close combat, but they always pick off my men before I can even assault them. Suggestions?

There are some very good articles on ork tactics in the article section of dakka. Apart from that, because I rarely play games and I don't own orks or their codex, I can't help you.

Welcome to dak dakยก Try a Kan Wall list. This is what i ran and had very few difficulties with ranged firepower. I ran 9 KKs with rokkits on two squads and one squad with Grotzookas with 2 KFF Meks in squads of boyz. This worked out great most of the time for me. Wizard has a good suggestion though to help you further your ork tactica.
