Yeah, the end result was virtually guaranteed by just looking at the two lists you guys brought. The guard player shooting lasguns and grenade launchers are marines was akin to trying to put out a forest fire with a toothpick.

Your opponent DID have crappy luck (those bouts of FRFing should have killed 4 or 5 marines per volley), and you were really lucky (a charging assault squad with charging dreadnoughts should have killed half the blob on the charge, not the whole darn thing), but even with reasonable luck, you still would have just walked all over him - it just would have taken longer.

Static, low-firepower armies are basically what BA is designed to excel against. Nice job on a proper victory.

Yes, FNP really helped, my marines were making all those saves because of the priest. His luck in close combat was AWFUL, also I took out a bit of his blob before with a volly of bolt pistol shots and smite(Forgot to mention).

Thank you.

Isn't is just swell? We usually play at our FLGS so I haven't invested in any. My friend on the other hand has a few pieces, I'll put up a battle rep when I face him there.

There is very few things in the IG Codex that could handle the dreads in Hand to hand. Less then optium IG list didn't help the cause either.

No surprises there, but a lovely report.
