Any gamers out there?

Closest shop I can find is in Charleston WV, been looking for a group more local. I currently play 40K, Malifaux, and Bloodbowl with a buddy of mine, but we are looking to branch out and meet some other people out there to add variety to our games. If you have a group that playes another game system (fantasy, warmachine, etc..) then thats fine too, I would be happy to start an army from a different system.

If anyone sees this shoot me a PM. Would love for my nids to have something else to eat other than imperial guard all the time

Just glanced through here like I usually do every few months and imagine my surprise when I see someone that actually is near me! I live in Milton WV and frequent the huntington area and the shop you saw in Charleston fairly often, me and my group of friends play 40k and are starting to dabble in fantasy.

We just had a huge 30 person tourney at Charcon last weekend. There are a few really good players in that area that I have played against in the past. If you get a chance I would highly recommend making the trip to Lost Legion for the 40k Tourneys. Rumor is they will be starting their year long tournament again soon.

Yeah, I would definatly make the commute to Charleston for tourneys and whatnot, but I just cant see myself driving to Charelston on a weekly basis to just hang out and pick up a game or 2.

Sadly there arent any shops in the area to actualy go and game at, but there is a Hobby Town USA store in South Point Ohio that sells Warhammer 40K stuff. They have a decent selection, but the guys that run the shop dont really play the game, they just sell the mini's.

I saw you had PM'd me, and I sent ya a message back. If you need any help with selecting an army that would be good for you, or even if you want to test out a game or so to get a feel for it, before making a purchase, then let me know.

Setting up a 3.5 ed D&D game for sunday afternoons.

I live in Morehead. We could set up the community room at the county library for an Apoc. game sometime if you wouldn't mind driving the 47.5 minutes from Ashland or 1 hour from Huntington. Or maybe we could use it for a game once a month or so.

I have to say I am a bit surprised that they don't have a table set up to use at the South Point Hobbytown.

Right now there isn't, but I have heard that there are a couple of WHFB players. One of them works at the library and plays Skaven, I met him when I donated a fully painted Starship Troopers starter kit. I know that there is a strong geek underground here, what with the university and all, but since the comic shop closed no one knows anyone.

There is a fellow here who is trying to start a used movies and sports collectibles store and he is interested in carrying M:TG. I need to convince him to sell cooler stuff than that.

I'm sure that there has to be someone else that plays as well. I have armies to lend if people would invest enough time to learn the rules, I could probably get a decent group going, but I am afraid that if I supply the toys no one will ever "get their own bag".

I build a lot of terrain as well, but most of it I trade for product from a fellow that wrote some rules and produces 28mm scale Mecha for said rules.

Just got done looking at your blog, there are three 40k players there, you and two other fellows? I'm thinking you need some four player Apocalypse action!

yeah, There is me and another guy here in town who meet every week to get some gaming in. Then there are a couple other guys who show up whenever they can.

Yeah, Danzig corridor would be a nice place to try and meet up with some new people, but they closed down last year for renovations, and have yet to open back up. Hard to say when it will get goin again, if it gets going again. I think my email is in my dakka profile, if you want to try and set something up one day, even if it is just a small game, shoot me an email. I got plenty of room at my house to host a game, or we could meet up in morehead.

I'm currently in Charleston, WV but spend a decent amount of time in the Huntington area.
I play Fantasy currently (Vampire Counts and Warriors of Chaos) but am starting to work in a 40K army (Necrons) .

I've been trying to get some Fantasy games in up here but it happens pretty rarely. If you have stuff going on in your area or just a decent sized group/gaming club I'd be more than willing to make some trips down that way.
