I just started playing Infinity this year. I decided to get Pan-O because of the cool models and high BS.

My gaming buddies and I usually play 250 points and do not mind model proxies (since Infinity models come out REALLY slow).

I typically have this in my army:

1. 1 Croc-man boarding shotgun/combi and with TO and infiltrator deployment.
2. 1 Nisses HMG with MSV 2
3. 1 Aquila Guard MULTI riffle as my Lt
4. Trauma Doc and a few Order monkeys (Fusiliers)

I recently started using:

1. 1 Teutonic Knight Spitfire Frenzy
2. 1 Hexa Spitfire light infantry with TO
3. I also experimented w/ Acontecimento Regulars and Kamau cuz of higher BS

My buddies said my army is strong enough and capable enough to win. I just kept losing due to dice rolls or key mistakes in deployment and attack.

Any suggestions on how to maximize the capabilities of my army list or any suggestions on replacing or adding units.

I typically face off with an Ariadna player who tends to use T2 snipers and paratroopers to wipe out my defenses.

Figures i bought so far:
1. Shock Army of Acontecimento - 3 regulars, 1 bagh-mari, 1 akal sikh commando and 1 Knight of Montesa
2. Nisses (HMG)
3. Knights of Santiago (Spitfire, AP CCW)
4. Trauma-Doc (Doctor) (1)
5. Aquila Guard (1 figure w/HMG, Shock CCW) (1)
6. Croc Man (Sniper) (1)

I'm looking at buying the Cutter TAG and the Auxilia.

I would appreciate any tips, comments (friendly and constructive) and suggestions.

Thanks.

Can't really help.

Also play PanO, but usual club I could play it at folded and I WON'T play at their local LGS (it has the stench of magic players in it very regularly, and I though TTMG had bad hygiene) so I've not had a game in a while.

Don't Ariadna 'specialise' in cheap camo troops? (Although several players in that group have Ariadna, I've not played against them yet).
You need to maximise your visors (Nisse and Aquila are godsends, no -ve for camo'd up troops and you can shoot without needing to discover them) and/or deployment.

Yeah, PanO have higher BS, but lower WP, so tend to lose the initiative rolls

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Thanks.

Yes, Ariadna specializes in cheap Camo troops... in my buddie's list he has camo T2 snipers and AP or missle launchers. He also has AD paratroopers and impostors. On occasion, he also uses linked troops with William Wallace as the leader (really high WP).

I hope you can find a place to play Infinity.

Oh I have a place - it's just they are not exactly organised about it. (They only met once a month and I missed two meets due to wife's birthday AND our wedding anniversary clashes.)

I'd keep a 360*visor total reaction remote in your back line somewhere to deter any troublesome AD types.

Aquila guard with hmg is nasty. Mind you, he'll be countering with tankhunters more than likely.

I've only played against Y-J and Aleph so far.

My main army is PanO.

The key to Ariadna is making them take a bunch of negs to shoot back at you. Take things like TO and ODD they have issues with since no visors.

Also don't forget that the Aquila cannot be surprised shot from Camo since he has an MSV3. In addition he can actively shoot markers as if it was a model also because of the MSV3.

With Infinity many times the game is decided by luck of crits an opponent or yourself has. Other than that double check that the terrain is not very open. If his snipers are shooting you from their deployment while you are in yours something is wrong.

Here is a list I made for ya:

The Aquila is your Hammer. He will probably be doing most of the dirty work. Use him to take out snipers with the HMG it does have a 32 inch range. Only 4 short of a Sniper.

The Akal is for cheerleader clean up. Drop him behind the lines. Use him to take out your opponents orders and order choke him.

While they concentrate on the Akal use the Bulleteers as a shock offensive to pincher. The ODD on them will help a ton. Looking at -9 if they are in cover to shoot at them.

The Crocman is LT protection. Leave him in hidden deploy covering your juicy fusilier bait. When his para commando comes pop him in the back with the Croc.

The Kamau is there to take remotes and also she is useful as hacker protection if you fight someone else. She can help protect your back line with a little higher BS.

Tramadoc and pal bot there to heal anyone injured.

Overall tip. When playing if you model has a solid wall put your back to it. Models can't walk through walls yet...

Hope it helps
