I'm in the process of setting up my own online web store which will be supplying games workshop products and gale force nine products amongst other things. I am also in the process of opening trader accounts with other companies.

The web site is under construction at the moment, I'm just waitig for the payment gateway to be sorted so I'm hoping with two weeks it should be live. I just wanted to spread the word to get the site known, the address is www.wargamerstore.co.uk which at the moment is a holding page.

Currently I hold no stock so I will be ordering as and when, but you guys know this up front, and it's better to be honest bug this situation is only for the foreseeable future. What I am asking is you guys give me a chance. I pride myself on customer service which is also my day job. I'm a regularly user on dakka dakka so you can contact me on here, on the sites email once running, msn and I can give you my personal mobile number which you can ring or text. All responses I will reply and as quickly as possible, there nothing more annoying then getting no reply!

What I'll be doing is until January 1st I will give 15% off all orders and free postage for orders over £50.

I will be doing a savers club so if you've got some cash and want to save it for a rainy day you can pay it to your account and spend it later, of course you will get a receipt for this with a updated balance.

Soon, in the future I'll be doing model trade in. You send me your unwanted models for cash or store credit so you dan get what they're worth and get some new cool models at the same time. Of course I'll be selling prowned models so for those looking for deals or on a budget check out Wargamerstore.

To gee more deals to my customers I will be doing package deals lime three dark eldar raiders at a special deal or large army deals.

Definately interested in Trade-ins and store credit. I personally already can get 25% off my miniatures. Depends on the trade-in rates though, that could well be the deal maker for me. Good luck with the biz, hope to hear from you when you get it up and running.

US I'll probably do for a fixed fee maybe £5 for all orders or something. I'll give that some more thought.

Trade INS will be agreed price between myself and the customer, though I'll probably buy for 50% - 60% off retail depending on commission, if you trade in for store credit will be extra 5%

The land of Oz wouldn't be a problem either. Again the postage price is something I'd have to look into, but it's something definately I'll do.

Yes of course, but I have a plan for that. See, I'm a sales technican for a Epos company who to supply to computer game shops who obivously deal with second hand. Our system has lots of features in for this which will help me with second hand.

Oh, something else. Citadel gaming boards I'll be doing for £125 inc postage to the UK - will check other countries. That's £25 off retail and including postage!

Well, i live in the US and have a FLGS I support cause it is a kick ass place to play. That and I just dont buy much anymore; the game room is full. But luck to you and hopefully you can provide steady, even support to your customers. Seems to be the biggest killer of online gaming related stores. On the one hand you HAVE to be ontop of every order all the time. On the other, gamers are a notoriously whiney and bitchey bunch (yeah, include me there) so it can be hard to take their cries about the plaztic armi mens srsly sometimes. Strike a firm, even balance that is fair to all and you should be fine. Try to please everyone and its prolly Gorilla Tactics for you.

hey Grizgrin no worries about getting stuff from another store, that's totally fine.

And yes, wargamers can be moaners (I am one myself! lol) but postage will be sent same day/next day as soon as stock or orders are received, and of course, customers will be updated once stock has arrived or orders despatched It's nice to know when your stuff is on route

It's always worth supporting somebody honest, upfront and reasonably local.

The trade-in deals for store credit may well be the thing that swings me to deal wth you mercer. One question; do you take into account the quality of the painting when you make an offer? Would, for example a 'well-painted' Tactical Squad accrue more credit than a grey plastic one?

Wow, I hope you have a nice system for judging minis then, for your trade in deals. I like the idea and may find myself taking advantage of it. But I could see some real butt-hurt coming from it if people dont get the deal they think they deserve from their crap paintjobs.

Despite me being a bit of a doom cryer here, I think this sounds cool and I hope you extend your reach over here to the USA as well. Just gets disheartening seeing so many bright eyed and bushy tailed, well-meaning folk bury themselves. Damn, just hire some help now?? LOL! Seriously, it sounds like everyone who flies and dies in this arena crash and burn because they cant handle the load. So it sounds like the customer base is out there. Maybe going ahead and getting someone in wiht you to help out isnt such a bad idea?

Lol butt-hurt, yes, possibly, but it's a px offer on condition like part exchanging games, if you don't like the offer you don't have to take it. As mentioned, like with games, if the game has a box and manual it gets a better price, without those a worse price. Unfortunately I can see some possible issues but we'll see in time.

I've got the missus on board working behind the scenes thankfully, though I'm the face and person who people will be dealing with day in and day out.
