What are people's opinion on Adepticon's youngbloods tournament, what I have heard is not so good and I can either go to Adepticon on Sunday for the Youngbloods or try to find a team for the 40k team tourny (and if anyones wondering im 15 so not that little...i guess I still am though....)

The Warhammer 40K Youngbloods tournament and the Warhammer 40K team Tournament are on different days, so theoretically you could play in both if you wanted to.

If you have any concerns/questions about the event, please feel free to contact us.

The event has an entirely new volunteer staff this year, will be a 3-round, 1500-point event and last from 8:00AM - 4:00PM. Event rules for 2011 can be found here.

Yah but because the event is over 2 hours away my dad doesnt want to drive both days. I was just wondering what other peoples opinions on the event this year.

Ah - OK. I understand.

The Youngbloods is a pretty basic event. Standard Battle Points format with the standard array of awards + as much extra stuff we can muster. The event is ticketed for 20 players, and we traditionally have 15-17 players.

Like I said - entirely new staff/mission writers this year - so any comparisons, praise or issues people have had relating to previous years won't really have much relevance.

O! Ok sounds good, worry I was listening to podcasts and they depicted it as all the kids that couldn't make it to the other events

Not at all. It's meant to give younger players a chance to test their mettle against players near their own age. By no means are you barred from any of the other 40K events if you feel you are up to the challenge. We've had lots of younger kids play with family members or by themselves in events like the Team Tournament.
