SO I have a ton of stompy goodness for 40K/Apoc. and have been itching to break out the Epic: ARMAGEDDON rulebook I have buried someplace in storage and build a similar force for that system.

I keep seeing lots of epic plastic stompas and other stompy epic ork models around on ebay and other sites, and was wondering if you can build a viable dred mob/all stompy type ork force full of stompas, gargants, dreads, kans, etc., etc. in Epic?

Pros?

Cons?

Fun to play?

Well, I am trying to get the models together to do something similar. I guess it'd be slow, but big on fun
This is the list I'm following...

Thanks for the link, that sounds like what I was thinking.

Yeah my guess is it will be a sort of slow plodding list vulnerable to enemy with high mobility, etc., but I think it would look cool on the table...

You can use the core list too as you can have stompa mobs made up of stompa's, dread's, can's and a supa-stompa, all supported by a Gargant or even squishy orks!

Of course it may be a bit one dimensional in game play but you never know until you try!

You near the Time Machine in Manchester, CT at all? We play EA there once a month or so. Just had a tourney on the 6th.

Not far (25 minutes or so).

I game with a friends/family at home mostly as I have a well-stocked game room.

Also unfortunately due to some past history with some of the people that hang/work there I don't frequent the place to game.

Intriguing that you guys are playing EA though...

The Battle Standard works too if want a game. I've got 10k of Marines painted now and around 4k of Orks and 'nids that are playable.

I'm in Worcester but head down to CT every so often. Pics from the tourney are up here:

You also might find this batrep entertaining.

Wow those pics look great, and really make me hunger to play Epic again...

The Battle Standard would work. I am really busy with grad school at the moment, but I should have some free time in the Spring. I'll shoot you a PM and maybe we can meet at Battle Standard for a game....

Sounds good. I'll be in CT for the last week of Dec. too. Next tourney up here will most likely be in June.
