Played through career on MW2 (what i call campaign mode on any game) was bored by the characters lack of back story made up my own.

Sandy 'soap' Mactavish: Grew up in the Sight Hill estate in Edinburgh. Was raised by an abused mother and alchoholic father, used to hide under the table when 'Da' had been on the drink, when he was 16 he put his abusive father in hospital. Was sent to Sauchton Jail (prison in Edinburgh) as a young offender, joined the SAS at 18. His father Drank himself to death soon after his mum got the divorce. Basically his life is a Ken Loach film, i.e. that particular brand of Scots Miserabilism.

John Price: Orphan, showed promise in high school and won a scholarship to Oxford University aged 18 reading Astrophysics (will explain). Bored of the life of an intellectual he enrolled in Sandhurst officer training. Took part in the Falklands war as a lieutenant, it changed him, he then moved into the SAS. Has worked hard for everything in his life. The reason i chose Astrophysics is a bit of an injoke; only someone with a huge related base of knowledge could make the necessary projections and calculations for the detonation of a Nuclear Warhead in the Ionasphere that could cause a localised EMP.

Does anyone else have any funny examples of their own little stories?
