Subject: Battlefoam Troop trays, 1 vs 1.5 inches?

All, I'm considering a Battlefoam bag for my eldar army, and I'm curious as to what everyone is using for their infantry. I'm just worried that a 1" tray may be a tad too shallow, but on the other hand, would 1.5" be too deep for eldar infantry?
Anyone?

I find 1 inch trays to be way too shallow for ANYTHING with a dynamic pose.
I don't just pose my models in a straight line. You know? I've got arms, legs, etc poking out in all different directions on any mini I assemble. So, with that in mind, 1" just doesn't work for me.
I even find 1.5" a bit limiting.
I tend to use 2" trays, but store my models standing upright. On most infantry models, that's perfect for having a dynamic model AND base.

For eldar who have swords and stuff sticking out all over the place you really need a 1.5" tray. With the tray bottoms being quite firm you've got to allow that space.
That's one reason that I prefer soft tray bases. (although you do have to be careful how you pick them up when they've got metal models in!)

If your just trying to house guardians, I would say unless you have done some type of extensive conversions to them or their bases, the 1" foam will work perfectly. It holds marines without a problem, so guardians should fit comfortably

My Guardsmen get swallowed up in a 1.5". For models that size, i would go with 1"
