Ive been playin bloodbowl for a couple of weeks now with my rag tag team of Lizardmen amd although I think ive got a nice rounded team, Im fininding Im gettin my handed to me by my friends Dwarf Team. No matter what I do, no matter what tactics I use, He still beats me.

We do play league rules, but due to a Saurus headbutting the floor and killing himself, I have no ppv's on any of my team. IF anyone knows how to set up, or wat I can do to have the upper hand, then I would love you forever... Im fed up of having my team beaten up by a troll slayer and a deathroller!

My current team is;

1. Kroxigor
2-6 : Saurus
7-11 : Skinks

One key thing is to dodge your skinks out of contact with any of his stuff. Tackle will make that riskier, but if you have Saurus in the right places, you can block Dwarves away before moving skinks.

Do your best to only give him his blitz and minimize any other blocks he can throw. you want to do this vs any team actually.
lizards aren't made to get hit.

Because of their toughness, Dwarves tend to stay on the pitch, so you need to use your speed to spread him out.
His best asset is their durability and block skills, and Dwarves tend to use Guard alot. Spreading out makes him have to think about where the guards are.

Use the bigger guys to punch through, on offense or defense. Then slip past with skinks.
a mistake alot of people make is putting their big guy against the DeathRoller.
That puts you at a disadvantage, since it will still have a higher strength

Good luck! Lizards are tough to win with once your opponents get the hang of how they work.
When they start targeting your skinks, and you have to pick up the ball with Saurus, that's when you know.

Remember that your Skinks have MV8. do not be afraid to fake attack on one sided, wait for the dorfs to be committed, and then use your vastly superior movement to switch sides.

thanx for the help guys! I got pretty close to scoring last game I played, kept failing though when I went for it with my skinks. Would of been a different game if I didnt have such bad luck with the dice rolls.

The only downside is, my Saurus decided to kill himself on a dwarf helmet last game, so ive just spent all my cash buying a new one :(

Resist the urge to "Go for it" unless the half is running out.

Use other skinks as interference once you have the ball.
I tend to run a "skink cage".
A loose cage with skinks I have dodged out of contact, but are still between me and the opponent.

You can get Saurus there also, but that AG2 makes dodging a no-no.
On that note, try giving a Saurus or 2 Break Tackle. Then you are dodging with your strength if you fail with the AG.

When i get some exp on my saurus, its gonna be the 1st thing i give em. Either that or block... but I'm more siding with block tackle at the moment.
