Are these considered official, or home grown?

WILL BE OFFICIAL!

YEAHAAHAAHHA!

Ahem...

Yes, development on these draft has been underway for quite some time. The HA (BFG rules commitee) is working close together with the community on these ones.

Sadly, the latest FAQ update has some quirks they need to edge out.

The drafts:

Tau Kor'or'Vesh = really good heading. (Being Project Distant Darkness creator it'll be abvios why).

Space Marines = really good except one minor note.

Eldar refits/Haven = good with it.

Inquisition = haven't read the latest update yet

Powers of Chaos pt2 = I like the specific God lists/battleships in addition to the Terminus Est but am no fan of new cruisers except the Cerberus if it gets a change.

Orks will see a new pdf sooner or later as well.

In the end they'll go to GW to be uploaded to their site.

Go here to talk along and add your ideas and opinions. We are nice. But also firm and heavy in discussion if needed. The HA gets a real sigh out of us.

BFG section. Heavy posting spree last months...

You did not pay attention in the Eldar thread since I made note of these drafts and such.

/yahoo group is just a medium, the sg forum I talk about is the place to be.

I read through everything, some stuff seems a bit obviously too strong for point value (making other ships completely useless). Main question is, are these usable at events like adepticon. I need to reach out to the TO to figure this out.

I'm hoping to get ~6 people signed up for the BFG tournament.

For now unofficial drafts. But once FINAL, they will go the GW site to be available as downloadable PDF's and be OFFICIAL (just like Armada and the other pdf's not in print or sold). Thus official at that point. Thus also Adepticon.

If you have issues with things come to the forum I mentioned (SG).

FAQ2010, Eldar refits/Haven, Tau, Space Marines are most final.

Rogue Traders I'd say 70-80%.

Others more early development.

Who are all these people that seem to be the 'god fathers' of BFG rules?

The Space Marine venerable Battlebarge is interesting. Can my Dark Angel Fleet actually use a Despoiler, or is the intended rule that imperial space marines can take the Emperor, etc all?

RAW would say you can take ANYTHING... I would say that SM should have to stick with imperial/adeptus mechanus etc, and CSM can take any chaos.

The problem is the 100% cripple and 150% destroyed makes it very costly... a planet killer (honestly, RAW says they can take one), with a MoF without extra rerolls is worth 885 if destroyed.

Hi,

maaksel, heh if I was a god father of the game you'd be shocked to see what I would like.

No no, the people you listed are just fans discussing the drafts and ideas from the HA. We wanna have a say.

HA = High Admirality = BFG rule committee.
GW has handed the BFG development to the HA.
Previous the HA was Andy Chambers, Matt Keefe and Gavin Thorpe. With the demise of SG they went and non-paid officials became the HA:

Bob Henderson (Mod-Patriarch), Ray Bell (Raysokuk) and Nate Montes (flybywire-e2c).

These 3 make drafts, post them on that link and ask for feedback. Which varies from yay to evil sick burns. heh heh.

So, a pretty close development with fans which means tedious progress but also a good one. The FAQ should be to GW before Christmas.

Keep in mind, it'll be official as far a download from GW can be but you can always play other rules.

(heck even I don't use some official rules).

///

Space Marines, the vbb, is so costly due the fact lances aren't easy to get in a Marine fleet.

Since Despoiler designs (TE) and other Chaos designs where once Imperial Army (notice the word army) before the heresy they where part of Marine fleets back then the Marines took them along, thus old ancient venerable.
Logical, fluffy, cool.

Marines won't have easy access to AdMech. Pretty restricted really.

The PK, available, well, one was build and if a Marine would ever face me with one I would take the model and shove it in his left ear,
