I played this game pretty solidly from its release in 2005 until about 2007. However, when Impulse had a bundle deal on it recently, I snapped it up and re-installed it. I was shocked that my old account still existed, even though I haven't played in over 2 years .

So, how 'bout it? Anyone else still play this oldie-but-goodie?

Pretty hard to find... in fact, i can tell you i was on it, but i had few problems with my account and i quitted, instead, i play BFV...it doesn't requires account and still few good server over there...

I felt a little nostalgia and reinstalled it about 2 months ago but for some reason the Punkbuster client wouldn't work correctly and it kept crashing the game. Tried a couple different solutions but didn't feel like putting to much effort into it. I have the original and Special Forces expansion disks.

Isnt the new "Free Battlefield" a stripped down version of it?

I only have BFBC2 though

Hee hee, I haven't played BFV since BF2 came out...but yeah, blasting the music while driving or flying was one of the best things about that game!

Battlefield 1942....battle of Britain FTW. Swooping low over airfields and dropping bombs, then parachuting down and using demo charges.

Also, Multiplayer Midway. Submarines, frigates and carriers FTW. Air battles which last. I also enjoyed battlefield 2042

1942 is a great game, will always love El alamein and Battle of Britain, Coral Sea too. I really hated vietnam, felt it was a horrible game. BF2 was great, got really good at flying helos. BC2 is my currently addiction and I am looking forward to Saturday when BC2 Vietnam is out.

I can tell you that if they fix the bugs in BFP4F then it will replace BF2. I still have BF2, and would play it if someone wanted to. Me and my friend normally lan on it though.
