Anyone have a campaign they have ran and they really enjoyed? I want it to be balanced but fun - and somewhat 'limited' in complexity this time around (we'll have 2-3 beginners).
Let me know, I'd love to read through them!
Thanks!

Looks like we are doing away with the map entirely. We have 10 or 13 people playing, a map will make no sense as it will be the same people beating up on each other.
I know I came across a list of planetary defense bonuses for different types of worlds being attacked. Hiveworlds gain more defenses than mining worlds etc. Does anyone know where that chart is?

Yes, a friend of mine and I play a campaign (Chaos vs Empire) much fun, more than all that continous skirmishes. The real fun thiing is, he is currently leading even tho I won the most battles Automatically Appended Next Post: maaksel wrote:Looks like we are doing away with the map entirely. Wow... with 10-13 people playing, you should make youreself a own map for a campaign. With like 40-50 planet systems, and "die out" who'll be the defender if its a neutral system. Also I suggest to increase the campaign point max a little. 3000 for each fleet, and 1000-2000 Points for a battle.

Attached are the current rule sets.
I increased points to 2500, many of the battle points are random (this prevents people from making a single killer fleet - and makes them think outside the box to meet certain point values).
D6
1-2 RAID - 500 + D6x50 (scenarios same as book)
3-4 Battle - 750 + 2D6x50 (scenarios same as book)
5-6 Grand Battle - 1000 + 3D6x50 (max 1800, min 1150, average 1550)
GAME Turn consists of 3 games.
Random pairing determines by organizer (me), you will not play the same person twice before you play everyone else.
Game 1: Attack or defender (determined randomly)
Game 2: Same as above, but you are the other role
These are the games where you can gain/lose a planet to the other player. If raid is rolled, and you lose as defender, you do not lose the planet, but lose the USE of it that turn (attacker gains the USE of it for that TURN only).
Game 3: Neutral planet, both players are attackers. Use standard campaign fleet values and D6 to determine who is attacker/defender.
Overall, a player CAN gain 2 planets, but only lose 1 planet per TURN (3 games). 6 new planets (random values) will be introduces every turn. All players start the game with 3 planets (1 forge world, 2 random).
Repairing is done only at the end of the game TURN (meaning you have to play 3 games before you can repair [this is why I've given more planets])
Overall, I think it's going to work well, but obvious tweaking will be done to suit the course of the campaign.
