Solid paint work and a classic color scheme. They look like the images in the old Mechwarrior 1 RPG color plates.

Funny thing is... I really don't like Battletech all that much. I like the novels... but as far as the game goes... I play about once every 10 years to remind me why I don't like it.
Looks like I got this in the wrong forum... can a mod move it over to the showcase?

I kind of wish he would get some games in with them. His old group hasn't played in something like 15 years and he won't search out anyone new to play with. I have even tried suggesting places that I know around town that have games going regularly but he wont go. He is pretty much of the oppiinion that if he can't play with his old group, he won't play. He just keeps aquiring new mechs... which means he is always bugging me to paint more stuff for him. He has over 650 mechs and I think is pushing 675. Then there are all the tanks and aerospace fighters. Too bad I just don't like Btech all that much as a game because I would really never need to buy anything... just use his stuff.

I miss having anyone to play old Btech with. A few stores run it but it isn't even the same game anymore. I still have all those figs, also lead, sitting in a box. bwaaaaaa... boo hooo hooooo....

I used to have those.
Also used to have several in 1/72 scale (Archer, Phoenix hawk, Griffin, Thunderbolt, Rifleman) because mates and I would often play BT on a tabletop with our existing 25mm terrain sets (in the 'traditional' wargames club where we played - alongside the napoleonics and ancients players).

I think the closest scale for infantry to the old ral-partha models would be 10 mm, since a mech fig is about 2"-2.5" tall as the approximate size of a 3 story building. What would that make a 1/72 scale mech, about twice that? Where on earth did you get those figs - all I've ever seen are the origional Ral Parthas and those cheesy prepainted ones for the new game that are a bit bigger in bulk but not in height by much.

I still have a big box of original metal Unseens lurking at the back of my cupboard.
I'll move the thread to Show Off Forum.
