This is a game I played today with my friend Mike, I used my night lords and he borrowed my guard army. It was a 2000 point sieze ground game.
This is my first batrep, so It may seem a little off but here we go.

Basalisk
The mission was sieze ground with 4 objectives. Chaos won the roll off to go first.
Turn one:
Chaos
-All vehicles and demons move foward, not much action
IG
- leman russes all move up, hellhounds move flatout toward the objective in the ruins. The basilisk fires at the marine squad on foot but misses
Turn two:
Chaos
- The chaos force again lumbers foward and gets exceptional run rolls.
IG
- the battle tanks move foward, the executioner tries to move foward but fails its dangerous terrain test and is immobilized.
-hellhounds move flat out again
- the basilisk fires and misses again
-a leman russ fires at a demon prince, missing with its lascannon, hits with the battle cannon but fails to wound.
Turn three:
Chaos
- the chaos forces move foward towards the objective tower and the ruins objective
-the predator fires its autocannon and explodes a chimera killing 3 guardsmen and pinning the survivors
-the land raider fires a TL lascannon at another chimera stunning it.
IG
- Hellhounds move up to attack the demon prince near the ruins
-A leman russ opens up on the brezerkers rhino immoblizing it and knocking off its weapon
-another leman russ fires at the predator but does nothing
-a third leman russ shakes and immoblizes the predator
-basilisk fires and misses
- the hellhounds hit the DP with their inferno cannons, but he makes all of his saves
-the sentinel hits the rhino but fails to damage it.
Turn 4:
Chaos
-Continue to advance toward the 2 foward objectives
-The khrone brezerkers bail out of thier ruined rhino and hide behind a tower
-The demon prince and a rhino move to engauge the hellhounds
-The other DP and rhino move towards the IG position
-The greater demon comes in and moves 6"
-The land raider fires its lascannons and immoblizes a chimera
-The demon prince assaults and wrecks a hellhound
-The second demon prince assaults and destroys the sentinel
IG
-The second hellhound moves 12" back to avoid the wrath of the demon prince
-The 2 intact chimeras move toward the ruins
-The basilisk fires at the brezerkers behind the objective tower and kills them all :(
-The remaining hellhound fails to wound the demon prince
-Passengers in a chimera open fire on the DP but fail to do anything
-The executioner fires at the rhino near the tower and wrecks it
-A leman russ open fire on the DP that killed the sentinel and wounds him twice
-A nearby chimera put a third wound on the DP with its multilaser, however the passengers fail to finish him off
-A different battle tank fires at the greater demon misses and instead wrecks what was left of the brezerkers rhino
-The guardsmen in the crater kill the wounded DP with their lasguns.
Turn 5
Chaos:
-The chaos marines jump out of their rhino and take the objective in the ruins
-The terminators exit their land raider and advance toward the imperial tank line
-The melta squad makes a dash toward the hellhound and chimera near the ruins
-The remaining demon prince chases after the hellhound
-The land raider fires its lascannons at a chimera but fails to scratch it
-The demon prince wrecks the hellhound
IG:
-The guardsmen in the chimera near the ruins dump out
-The company command exits their transport as well
-The leman russ tanks move back to avoid the terminators
-The basilisk misses the marines holding the ruins but deviates into the melta squad killing 2
-The executioners opens fire and kills 2 terminators
-Two more terminators die to leman russ fire and the champion falls to a lascannon
-A stray lascannon shot kills one more melta squad marine.
-The demon prince loses a wound to a lasgun barrage
Turn 6, the roll was made and the game went on to turn 6
Chaos:
-The melta squad moves toward the chimera
-Anxious for slaughter the demon prince moves toward the imperial line
-The land raider moves up onto the hill, then massacres the CCS with it heavy bolter killing the standard bearer and heavy bolter team
-Havocs finally fire and shake a battle tank
-The predator fails to hurt the executioner
-The melta squad fires, stunning and immoblising the chimera
-The demon prince casts doombolt upon the guardsmen in the crater but does nothing
IG:
-Guardsmen jump out of the immoblized chimera and advance toward the chaos marines
-One marine falls to a melta shot, the lasguns and flamer fail to wound
-The executioner cannon misses the DP and kills a marine instead, the lascannon misses
-A leman russ put another wound on the DP
-The basilisk fires at the ruins again and misses
-Another leman russ puts a third wound onto the DP
Turn 7, the roll was again passed so the game went into its final turn
Chaos:
-The DP moves toward the crater, the GD followes behind
-Melta and pistol shots somehow fail to hurt the guardsmen near the ruins
-The DP uses doombolt again but to no avail
-Havocs fire and knock a battle cannon off a leman russ
-The land raider knocks off a chimera's multilaser
-The predator's lascannon wrecks the cannonless leman russ
-The melta squad assaults the guardsmen in front of them and kill 2, guardsmen lose combat but get away and fall back 5"
-DP assaults the crater guardsmen and kill 2, however they pass leadership
IG:
-The last guard squad moves toward the ruins
-Fleeing guardsmen fail to regroup and continue to fall back
-The executioner fails to wound the greater demon
At this point the guard player surrendered and the game ended with chaos controlling 2 objectives and contesting the other 2. Guard did not own any but contested 2.
In all it was a very fun game, and although myself and my friend are still both noobs who probably made a bazillion mistakes it was still a fun game for the both of us.
-I was dissapointed that my greater demon never saw combat and my brezerkers all getting blasted by the basilisk was a real setback, the termies were a gamble that I lost if they were an inch close they would have been able to assaualt a tank, I feel like I did effectivly mobilize and claim those foward objectives, and with my heavy tanks and demons putting constant pressure on the IG gunline I was able to deny them the middle of the board, my main regret was fielding units that did little because of their lack of mobility, the havocs need a transport and the greater demon needs to be summoned close to an enemy unit.
-My friend Mike played effectivly as well, those pie plates really threatened my exposed infantry and his chimeras brought a lot of firepower to the table but it was their soft armor that caused their downfall. The basilisk was simply a wildcard, its shining moment was killing those brezerkers, but they were crippled as soon as they lost their rhino. The hellhounds were a good choice but were doomed by poor execution, they should have gone after exposed, objective holding infantry rather than try to take on a demon. Lasguns also played out a role in this fight finishing off one of my demon princes.
