Hello Dakka!

Getting restarted on my custom marine chapter, the Vanguard. The fluff will be added later, as far as the actual models, I have a habit of taking things I get in trades (don't worry people, I buy new too) and fiddling around with them. I still can't find a bunch of my infantry and older WIP pics, so I decided to show a sample of my modeling/painting ideas.

This is an old edition Vindicator I wound up with. I started with the painting scheme (my colors start with Regal Blue and Mithril Silver chapter wise). Of note as far as modeling is the cannon's barrel having been replaced with a piece of pressure hose, done before I acquired it, and a Whirlwind missile mounted using the clamps from a current Vindy kit. I would either just count this as a decorative extra shell or as an HK.

Lots more pics and rants coming soon!

Here's some ancient pics of my first few tanks! Paint is all me here.

And a far more recent pic of my Land Raider concept paint scheme. I'm still learning the arts of pigment application, so I got the paint done by Rindaris on DeviantART.

FINALLY getting some motivation to do things again.

This chaplain here is actually a good example of my infantry modeling strategy: Simple little conversions using basic parts to add some uniqueness (of course this is a 40k army, so conversions and unique kinda fall off grimdark trees). I kept seeing IG commissars doing the whole 'the book says P is for PURGE' stuff, and I just grabbed a a few things and I have a Chappie that does the "the tome reveals that S is for Smite"

My cam is trying to rebel so the next pics will be up later today. :(
