Goodmorning Dakka

To motivate myself I've decided to start a blog here on dakka on my new army.

Fluff:

I haven't really thought about the fluff, but I do got a short summary:
When the Dark Angels got word that a small army of nurgle deamons landed on their homeplanet, they decided to destroy them. Unfortunately, the nurgle deamons wiped out most of the DA and only a few of them managed to survive. They were deadly wounded though, so in order to stay alive, they injected themselves with the DNA from the nurgle deamons. It worked, and they survived.

But, when the ordo malleus got word of this they labelled the survivers as heretics.

Now, 20 years later, the survivers are being hunted by Grey Knights but did manage to build their own, small, army.

They haven't been able to remove the nurgle DNA yet, and therefore have weird infections, and sometimes their minds go blank and then just feel the need to kill humans and eat their flesh.

Characters:

So far I have 4 important Characters.

Phoenix:




Phoenix is the leader of the army and is a great skilled fighter. He is a nice fellow but struggles with his need for flesh.

I use Phoenix as a proxy for a Deamon Prince

Orlando:



Orlando is the second in command, and a great and even more skilled fighter than Phoenix. He lacks the social skills though and is very quit. There are rumors going on he's Phoenix's brother but these have not been confirmed yet.

I use Orlando as a proxy for Kharn.


Dom:



Dom is the 'geek' and also figured out the way how to inject themselves with the DNA from the nurgle deamons. Luckily for him, the nurgle DNA hadn't much effect on him so when the others minds go blank, he's the one who needs to look after the bunch.

Dom is also very, very proud of his DA herritage, And still thinks of himself as an DA marine.

I use Dom as a squad leader

Jester:





Jester is an emotionally scarred fighter, who never says a thing. He is a great fighter even though he creeps out the other marines by his 'smiling helmet'.

So yeah, that's what I got so far. I will probably update this blog next week, because then I will have time to go to my lgs and get some new marines ^^




Like you may have noticed I don't have a name for my army, so if you guys have any ideas or advice, everything is welcome (:

Sounds interesting, but besides the wings I don't see any mutations. Is it mostly on the inside or will there be more later? I also see a few bits from clipping the peices off the sprue that need to be cleaned up, but I'm sure you already knew that.

and the main troops of the army will be mutated IG which Will all have a green/white skin color

I really like them. (really i do.)

I like the theme and think the fluff is really cool- just a couple comments on the models themselves.

~You may want to model a Kharn equivalent with some sort of non-fist weapon, like a big sword or something. The PF doesn't really make since and may confuse people.

~Some people may gripe about your daemon prince proxy- he does have to go on a larger base and be generally larger.

I actually thought the power fist looked pretty cool, He really looks like he's about to hit you with it

And yeah, I though about that, so I got a larger base and I will put him on some rocks so he's bigger (:
