Just started here and was wondering what the 40k community was like. (Or fantasy or whatever) So, anyways, who's out there? Anybody?

Hall of Heroes has a small community that games irregularly. I'd stop by there and ask Michael(owner) when they've been coming in lately. Other good options are JL Miniatures in St. Johns and The Board Room Game Center in Saginaw. There's not too much going on in MP, AFAIK.

If you'll be in MP during school breaks, I'll happily game with you, but other than that, I can't really help.

I would definitely recommend making the trip down to St. Johns if possible. Tim at JL Miniatures is a fabulous painter and has many great tables to play on. Plus he actually has stock (unlike Hall of Heroes) and usually offers some kind of discount. I've never had a bad experience there.

I've never personally been to the Board Room, but I've heard very nice things.

Unfortunately, I lack a vehicle. I would gladly make the trip otherwise. As far as breaks go I will probably be spending that time with my family. Ahh well, Maybe I can catch up on my painting.

I used to attend college at CMU and I know Hall of Heros has a tournament schedule or at least did when I was there. Unfortunatly I was way into partying back than and getting laid to take my army up to school. Anyways... the owner sends out a Hall or Heros newsletter, make sure you sign up for that.

Looks like Hall of Heroes will be hosting an all day open gaming thing this Saturday the 26th from Noon-Close. I won't be there personally, but it should be a good time.

I've got to second trying to get down to St. John's, Tim's store is great and the guys there are pretty cool.

I never played at HoH (and I moved far, far away so probably never will) but I recall hearing that they're the old Galaxy Comics crew, and from what I remember that wasn't a great scene.

If only the Game Zone were still open in Alma
