Rejoice, few who have looked at EVEhammer: Conquest of the universe and despaired because it was so far away. NOT ANY LONGER!
Go to www.evehammer.webs.com to get your grubby paws on the beginnings of a great galactic war! join in our forums and put up your pictures and videos, 'cos we are building a new game from scratch! new background, new rules, the works! It may not be a GW beater, but it's worth a shot.

We will be trying a smaller version at the club soon, before we spread the game across the world. Hope you are waiting with your dice and armies ready when we get there!!!

Many and varied forces in progress according to waxing & waning whims.

You're asking for a lawsuit from CCP (the makers of EVE). If you think they aren't as protective of their IP as GW, then you would be wrong.

Just change a enough things so it's not a direct copy, problem solved, and not only that, you actually get to exercise some creativity.

You honestly think that... no...
We called it EVEhammer because it involves corporation s in space (EVE) and is played as a campaign/wargame (Warhammer).

We're not stealing things at all, we're just building on 2 different concepts and poking fun at their original owners.

No harm done.....right?

Depends what you mean by poking fun.

if its a clearly a parody, a comedy game then you can get away with your references, pardoy is legal.

If poking fun means we get this close but hopefully dancing around IP law then the joke may well be on you.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Personally, I don't see the point. Why not just create something original (well, as original as can be original in a Sci Fi genre)....that would be of more interest to me.

If I want to see a joke about WH40K, I'll just go to GW website

Man down, Man down....

What good is a battlefield without an Architect behind it all?

I suppose you guys are right. People have no want of grand scale campaign/wargaming crossovers. Ah well. The website has now been deactivated, but I will make a good campaign/wargame crossover one day! I thank you all for dissuading me from EVEhammer. To be honest, I only named it that because all the cool names have been taken and I couldn't think of another.

Being a former CCP employee, I would indeed recommend against calling it that.
Wouldn't take long at all before you get a letter.
