...and we've moved! Well, we kinda like Great Escape Games, so we're not moving locations, but we've decided to move the date! Traditionally the Challenge has been in August-September. Well, after years of conflicting with other California events, we're moving to MAY in 2011! The event dates for this year are May 13-15 (Fri-Sun), 2011. This will hopefully avoid conflicts with other events, and it should give us significantly better weather as well!

If you want to register for the SAWS Challenge XI, just go to our registration page (http://sactosaws.com/SAWSChallenge/SAWSChallengeReg.php) and fill out the simple form. You can either pay right away or wait and pay later, but your slot for the tournament is only guaranteed after you've paid, so keep that in mind. As an additional incentive to register and pay early, the tournament fees are only $30 if you pay by March 1! After that it goes to $40 until May, and then up to $50.

The event this year will be 2500 pts. Special Characters will be allowed again this year, with some restrictions (see the rules page for more information.

If you have questions, just let me know at mark.havener@calwin.org. You can also reach me through the website.

Hope to see you here!

Seriously what is it about Northern Cali that spawns so many fantasy only events? Just curious

It's not that different then 40K Hulk.

Hell I play Fantasy, win tournaments, get good sports and I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Get a rule book, paint an army and come play!

Oh I'm already starting to fall into it. I need something to get my game fix. Just have to decide if it's gonna be Fantasy or Warmahordes since my new area only has a single 40k event every other month-ish

Now I have to play other systems But when I get back to Cali I'll look into it. I'm always up for more tournament gaming!
