I have a friend who recently recieved an Ipad as a gift from his neighbor. He has no use for it, and wants to use it to fund his various 40k projects (He's a member on here, but I won't use his username). Is there any value in selling it on here though? Should he even bother? He's looking to get at least five hundred bucks for it, or a HUGE quantity of models, I think. Would bartertown be better for such a large trade?

Ebay and Amazon are your best bet if you want to sell it for cash.

Dakka has no real way of verifying trades/deals/etc, so it's not an ideal place for a high-value trade with a stranger. We're more set up for bitz swaps, or trades with posters that you trust.

He's better off selling it on eBay or another established reselling site.
