I was wondering if anyone is going to be playing or creating a chapter/horde/clan for the the up coming game? I'm in the process of putting together a pre-launch guild for The Scythes of the Emperor. I'm hoping to recruit marine players that would want to be part of a Fluff based Chapter that has RP elements associated with it. I should have everything together in the next month or so and will be posting the Info here.

Well... At least you still have over 2 years to do it And I'm not going SM anyway.

Vigil Games has been working on this since 2007 i think its closer to a year. Hoping to see it end of 2011 or first quarter 2012.

All I know is that I spotted or heard a release date once, and it was 2013.

This. I heard 4th quarter 2012 or 1st quarter 2013. Knowing gaming companies they will rush it for Christmas 2012.

If its any good I'll probably roll an Ork or a CSM.

I'm leaning towards Ork or Eldar.

I already have multiple Chapters, Traitor Warbands and Craftworlds that i've made up, so i'm all set (don't like Orks).

I've even got Guard Companies, Tau Cadres and Necron Phalanxes (only collective noun I could think of for Necrons), so all I really need are Dark Eldar Kabals and Sister Orders.

Not that I know of.

It's scheduled for 2013. While I understand that anticipation can, at times, be painful, creating a guild this far in advance is a little excessive.

I doubt I'll even be playing the game, unless they completely rework their concepts. They really should've made this game squad-based and based on the existing points system for the tabletop game so that every race and unit could be included in the game. As it is, it looks like it will be an awful rendition of 40k.

Not gonna be SM either. Eldar if they're playable, female Techpriest if that's available, female Guardsman if that's available, Orks if they're available. Not Space Marines, though. They're not gonna have any of the cool Space Marines (Grey Knights and Space Wolves), just basic Ultramarines styles, with maybe Black Templar influences thrown in.

Female of some kind, not sure what race yet, still not enough info to be certain.

Anything announced about the game is noted at the site in my Sig below, although its a bit quiet at the moment as theres been no new info for ages.

Release date is supposed to be 2012, I guess we should have a much better idea about everything at this years E3 and then Leipzig.

All I'm hoping is World of Darkness and 40K aren;t released too close together, hopefully WoD will slip back till 2013.
As if I had to pick between one of those two, I'd probably have some kind of breakdown.

No, all PC marines are black templars, they already told us this.

Now I'm even less interested.

Marines always boring anyway.

Aye my interest in Marines died with the Templar announcement, hell I'd have considered Ultramarines, but Templars. Blegh.

The only thing annoys me is it does kinda make sense, as its an area of space not seen by the Imperium in ages, so the best idea would be to send a crusading chapter.

Still a chapter I'm not fond of though.
