Since we announced our forthcoming set of Ancients rules written by none other than Rick Priestley we've been inundated with excited gamers asked all manner of questions. Happily we've managed to lure world-renowned games designer Rick into the Warlord offices with the promise of a 'nice cup of tea' - he's such a cheap date! Let's hear what Rick has to say... You can find out more here!

To go with the Ancient Warfare article, here are some greens of Roman Marines.

Also, another two resin vehicle kits have been returned to the on-line store:

Sdkfz 250/9 Neu 2cm Recce half track - £16.00 / €19.24 / $24.89
Turreted version of the sdkfz 250, used for recce missions and general scouting.

Sdkfz 250 Neu Wreck - £12.00 / €14.43 / $18.66
A single piece casting of a wrecked sdkfz 250/1.

This model of a knocked out 250 is highly detailed. It has equipment strewn across the interior, broken tracks, a snapped axle, burnt out front wheel, open cargo hold doors, a fully detailed engine bay and a rear door that is hanging off.

Used as a marker for a wrecked vehicle, it's great cover for your advancing allied forces.

When you talked about "Hail Caesar": Rick speaks, i expected an hommage.
When you talked about Roman Marines, I expected something slightly futuristic.

I wrote a bit about this in my blog this morning.(http://lasgunpacker.blogspot.com/2011/01/hail-caeser.html) I am cautiously optimistic about the Hail Caeser! ruleset, although I find games without figure removal confusing. I am always looking for something to handle 28mm Greeks. I do find the mention of 20mm bases and WAB to be smart, as it allows for people to use the same army in other games.

Has anyone played Black Powder enough to report on it as a game? What about Kings of War? It similarly has regimental/battalion blocks grinding away at full strength.
