What happens when you prestige? The last COD game I played hardcore online was COD: MW and when I prestiged I lost everything it was like starting over. Does the same happen in Black Ops? I just want to know what I'm getting myself into haha.

You go back to level one, retain a few things (not much, your little dog tag logo and your clan tag), and when you get back to create a class you gain access to a sixth class. Then you prestige more and more and more, and each time you earn something different, but it usually sucks compared to the effort put into it.

Do you have to prestige or can I just sit at unprestiged level 50 and play with all my guns/upgrades? If i remember right MW let you pick.

Mattieu~~~~ It's not that eldar are bad, it's that they require a lot of intergration between units. Also, that doesnt prove anything other than GW has a huge hard-on for marines, and, given the option between making a xeno the best psykers or making a marine the best psyker, they will 9 times out of 10 choose the marine.

Cool thanks for the info and thanks for the comment  Yeah I'm waiting on some flamers and a Lord of Change to come from ebay so I have something to paint. I finished my Mono Khorne Demons about 2 weeks ago. Time to expand into the other gods!

I just recently hit 50 and i'm not going to prestige. I want to get all perks to pro, which is gonna take awhile.

I've pro'd out quite a few of my perks without even trying. They vary wildly in how useful they are though.

Mmhmm. I found that Hardliner was extremely useful, but Hardliner Pro was only useful when you chose to use all three packages (SAM Turret, Sentry Turret, Care Package) so that you have a good chance of getting something good.
Once, I got two bombing runs in a row. Just one would have pushed our team to win. the second one just dominated the enemy as bombs hit them a few seconds after they spawned.
Then I used the sam turret to shoot down an enemy huey that was called in while I hid inside.

I got to prestige and did it and then regretted it.. just dumb. Yay, a new picture for my name and a 6th class I won't use. anyway, once I get to 50 again I'm just gonna leave it there. If there were different guns or better perks or something like that, yeah it's worth it. But for a picture? what a waste.
