He could use a bit more in the highlight department, but I think he looks good. I actually really like the darker look on this guy. I know they are supposed to be all bright flashiness but the black keeps him somewhat sinister looking.

I like the concept of a darker body with bright points. I agree with the previous that some more highlights would bring him up to the next level. Even if you can't do diamonds or stripes, adding some bright edge highlights will get some of the effect, but isn't too difficult. I'd say maybe mix your pink and blue each 2/3 or 50/50 with white to get your highlight colors.

Highlights would bring out the colors well, and a dark grey drybrush over the black will bring out the details of the black parts of the suit. Your metal paint looks a bit chunky, I'd thin it a bit, it'll go on smoother.

The OP may not know how to do highlights. If thats the case, the model is still good, if not simple. Keeping the model neat and tidy (painting "within the lines" and paint not too thick) is the trick for any good looking model. It works as is.

Love the colors! As others have stated, I think there could be a little more highlights. The camera probably washes out some of the highlights so we cannot see them, but like everyone tells me: Don't be afraid to highlight past what you think is correct.. it will make the model "pop". So now I am starting to highlight a stage or two lighter that I used to. I think this is something you should try.

Keep up the good work!

The contrast between the light and dark colors is great for harlequin models. I hate to sound like a broken record but there could be more highlights on him. Te base could also use a little more color instead if just putting the sand straight on. Maybe paint it the same color as the rock, or even to resemble dirt. A very tidy paint job too, good work.

I like the color scheme. It does kinda look Slaneesh-ish, but that may work out depending on his role in any Harlequin performance.
