I've actually been around for a minute or three but I decided I would go ahead and announce myself publically. I suppose my time has come. The closet door is swung open and I think the latch is stuck. No going back now.
I've played Warhammer 40k for just about a year now, maybe a bit longer. Of all the armies I could own Chaos Space Marines just reached out and twisted my soul into an ugly little gibbering mutated servant of darkness. All the over-priced MEq slogginess of an astartes army with the complimentary turndown service of daemonic possession and unholy powers.
Recently though, with the advent of newer versions of Imperial Guard and Dark Eldar, I felt the lure away from my first army. So I traded and sold and swindled - contracts with the underworld go a long way - and it seems like I might have a sizable Eldar army on the way to fruition. Just felt like it was time for me to collect a new set, if not for the sheer joy of owning another army then for the ability to switch back and forth between the two and have a different playfeel with each force.
Anyways, it is good to be here. I think DakkaDakka is going to be my digital 40k hub. Seems to have all of the necessary equipment.
