He put his throw away squads up front and was plannin on diggin and defending til his valkyries zoomed in
He was unable to seize the objective, so I began...

Turn 1

The field of blood:

I rolled up with my Land Raiders and unleashed some predator fury- stunning his Russ and Chimera. Plague marines chilling in the back on the objective waiting for outflanking

DAS holds his ground for the most part except for the sentinels and hellhound on the flanks. His shooting didn't go amazing, but he wrecked my CSM melta Rhino

Turn 2
I'm able to get my raiders into assault range and my terminators and zerks run out to unleash the fury

Each squad does their task... maybe a little too well... the terminators are left staring at the entire IG force in the open. They aren't fearless, BUT THEY AINT SKERRD NEITHER

DAS unloads on the terminators, annihilating the squad. He had to use up a lot of firepower on them, though, and he misses the much needed valkyrie reserve roll (he had an astropath)

Turn 3
The Daemon Prince gets his warptime on and busts up the command squad. I get my berzerkers together on the flank and push forward. My predators and plague marines are still holding strong backfield.

Minus his astropath, DAS misses another reserve roll for the Valkyries!

Turn 4
The Summoned Greater Daemon finally arrives! he eats up my CSM champion and pushes forward alongside my daemon prince.

The valkyries arrive!!! DAS boosts them towards the objectives- but is unable to take down my Greater Daemon! The dice weren't liking him this turn at all and the beast remains to spread some havoc in his lines.

Turn 5
My berzerkers, GD, and DP all engage with the remaining elements of his line and my predators manage to stun his valkyrie squad

We end up calling the game at this point- the late valkyries and surviving greater daemon were the tipping point of the late game. Chaos claims victory in the bloody affair.

I'm a little curious, what were your predetors doing that entire game? 6 BS4 lascannons shooting for 5 turns didn't seem to do much more than peel some paint in the guard player's vehicle corps.

Also, as I'm sure you now saw, you don't need to attack the very first thing you come across with a raider full of terminators. The whole thing with the raider is to be able to carefully pick your target, rather than charging into just one expendable squad at your first convenience and then getting blown apart.

The predators got stunned a few times from lascannon fire- but were shaking/stunning his hellhound / Leman Russ / Valkyries and they blew up his chimera after it unloaded

Your army looks amazing, and that's a pretty good list IMOP. How well does it do vs. MEQ armies?

Thanks man! I've been working on streamlining this list- I'll have more battle reps up within the next couple weeks. In the past I've had a lot of success against competitive MEQ builds- I'm playing a solid SW player this thursday at 1850 so check in to see how that turns out!
