A reminder for those who have not been following the development of this project.

The Southwest Masters Cup is a competition to find the best players and painters of Warhammer 40K in the Southwestern United States, which for this inaugural event will constitute California, Arizona and Nevada.

The event will run the the year, with tournament results held within this geographical region being contributed to each player's score. The top three scores for each player will be tracked and at year's end, the 16 top players and painters will be invited to a Masters Tournament to determine the best of both sides of the hobby.

Any tournament will count towards this event so long as it is within the 1500 to 2500 point range.

Generalship scoring uses the following formula: Points=Number of participants-Generalship Ranking+1+10 points per game played+Bonus (15, 10, 5 point bonus for coming in 1st, 2nd or 3rd).
Painting Scoring uses the following formula: Points=Number of Participants-Painting Ranking+1+Bonus. (15, 10, 5 points for coming in 1st, 2nd or 3rd).

To submit tournament results send them to RankingsHQ with the subtitle Southwest Masters Cup or they can be sent to me!

A HUGE thanks to Andrew over at Rankings HQ for putting this together and to Yakface for helping getting some traction on this deal.

So, to everyone who wants to get involved, this is how you can help! Tell your local TOs to send me their tournament results or to post them on DakkaDakka and I will input the data into our scoring matrix. All we need is rankings for Generalship and Painting as those are the only two metrics we will be tracking. I will also be actively going out and getting this data as well, but any help from the community will only help!

As the website is live and functional, I am going to start getting some sponsorships lined up to make sure this is an event to remember. If anyone has any input in that regard, I am all ears so please feel free to point in the direction of some good sponsors.

So thanks for all the ideas and support, everyone, I appreciate it. By the end of the year, we will see who the top dogs in the Southwestern United States will be!

Reece

Any and all so long as they are above 1500 points.

Thanks for the questions guys, I will continue to develop this with your feedback before going anywhere else with it.

Also, if you guys have any feedback on the RankingsHQ site, let me know as Andrew is still working on it.

Thanks!

Does a tournament have to have a painting score to be counted?

No it doesn't, if only a generalship score is counted then we will only count that portion of it.
