I generally dislike TPS as the character gets in the way or some other such problems where it mostly comes down to my opinion. Although like Dead Space this is going on my list of exceptions. I also liked how you had a couple of cigarettes that you could smoke whenever in a level, I didn't see much use in them besides throwing them back to a boss as they explode or using one when faced against a fair few of the big guys before zooming in and taking care of it.
Most useful weapons for me were the heavy machine gun, disklauncher and LFE gun.
So anyone else played this fun game about cool armour and jetboots?
Yes it is pretty hard. I admit I liked how it looked, but I think I wasn't playing it right. I couldn't beat the first boss. I ran out of ammo and scoured the whole level for more. When that ran out I was a little pissed because I had to start the game over. My problem was, I was trying to take all of his legs out instead of concentrating on his face. It was my fault but I am not used to games being like that. Usually you can take out the legs of something and it can still be defeated. The damn thing kept repairing and I ran out of ammo.
What made it even worse was that the boss couldn't kill me and I couldn't kill him, even with my melee attacks.

Which first boss? Like, the big transforming mech thing? Just shoot a weak point, core pops out, shoot that, rince and repeat, or kill a leg and use the quick time event.
Just wait till the first battle against spandex russian dude, hes a bitch.

Yeah I totally fought that guy wrong. I focused on the legs and arms and ran out of ammo. I kept thinking they would eventually fall off but they never did. I was through half of my ammo (even the collected ammo) before I realized those legs were not going to fall off. I started focusing on the core and only got about half of its energy down before I ran out of ammo. Then I tried the melee attacks for awhile. After an hour of this I was so frustrated with the game that I took it back.
It was kind of my fault that I messed up the fight, but it would have been nice if some random girl on my com would yell at me and tell me too "Shoot its legs until it falls down, then blast its core while it is exposed!" I need in game help sometimes...

I tried it, but didn't really care for the zoomish gameplay.
I know it was a game made by Japanese, but I found the Samuri esque armor to be out of place in a futuristic U.S.A. military. I don't know why, it just bugged the heck out of me.
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
Iv gotten to play this game on and off since the start of January and I love it, it's easy to get a little lost in what your supposed to do but often enough when you figure it our you feel slow for not getting it in the first place. I also almost failed in destroying the big transforming robot boss in the first level and felt like an idiot when I figured out what. Had to do lol.
I haven't finished it yet, it's plot isn't deep when compared to something like metal gear but it's good. I love that old bastard vet burns ( I think that's his name)
Im interested in how it will end and it's good to see that Russians in the future still make for good bad guys.
I can't wait to play a game like this with Americans as the bad guys.
