So yes- I am interested in getting into BFG, but I don't want to pay full price from the GW website. I buy all of my 40k and fantasy from discounted websites, but BFG is a specialist game and most retailers and stores do not carry it.
Where do you guys buy your fleets and what is the best place to get your hands on these awesome ships?

Hmmm.
Got to be some cheap stuff out there somewhere.
Does CCG Armory carry BFG at discount?

Not familiar with that shop, unfortunately. If your local stores do not have any old stock still on the shelf, than Ebay is probably your best bet. Which fleet are you looking to play?
I've bought my stuff from local stores, Ebay, GW stores (the Seattle Battle Bunker), and the GW website.

look for whole fleets on eBay and similar sites, also put in wanted posts in swap shop here and on Warseer.
If you are too fussy about what you get in your fleet and are patient the correct deals will come along.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. |

BFG stuff isn't all that expensive compared to some of the other stuff. I'd simply recommend buying it directly from the GW site.

Have you tried calling TheWarStore? Their GW stuff isn't listed on the site due to GW policy, but they carry just about everything.

Unfortunately, TWS doesn't carry BFG :

No problem! But yeah, the fact that BFG (along with all the SG) are mail-order only means that you simply won't find new BFG minis at a FLGS or online retailer, unless it is old stock from a few years ago.
