My name is Travis, been painting 40k for about 3.5 years now. I got into the 40K universe over seas, in Iraq while on deployment with Bravo 1/2. I aways was aware of it, but was not until I met a fellow Marine over in the sandbox who let me borrow a few novels here and there when he finished them and I was drawn in. Being a Marine and a Grunt at that! I could really relate to trumping around in the back off an armored transport. Waiting for the ramp to drop, and charge into what ever awaited. Painting help me relaxe and cope with some of the post deployment stress alot of us that have seen the elephant charge are coming back with.
I started out painting an Ultra Marine, 2nd Company and slowly started painting Guard, and Orks as well. After painting for 2 years, I met a guy at worked and found out he plays 40K. So he walked me through my first 2 games and I am hooked. Nothing like drinking beer and playing a well thoughtout game with good company.
