Hi all, I play as necrons I will soon have 30 necron warriors, three destroyers and 7 scarab swarms. ( I realise that it probably isn't enough to play with officially however me and my friend are going to play at his house anyway) he has many orks however I believe we are going to play with the same amount of points.
Anyway I know ( from looking at his threads) that he is going to attempt to phase me out does anyone have any tips on how to beat him, I have very little playing experience.

Hi and welcome !! I hope you are going to play with equal numbers well necrons.. hm.. not a real good army.. but can be deadly if you use it right.. your destroyers are your key units to destroy everything.. so if you are going to expand you army start with a lord a monolith and destroyers.. make shure you scarabs don't get under any template and try to let them use their turbo boosters al the time.. send your scarabs on tanks or good cc units like mega nobz and nobz DO NOT go into assault if you can avoid it.. the strenght of your army is that your warriors are really good at destroying light vehicles and are excellent at short ranged shooting.. bare in mind the orks can call a waaaagh so they move a great distance in one turn.. your army is bit to small to really avoid fase-out.. but necrons are way underpowerd so you can ask your ork player if it's okay for him to play without the fase-out rule.. i play alot against necrons and they really suck in assault and if your opponent knows that he will field cc units.. actually he has a cc army When I play my necron adversary we always play without the fase out.. it's fair for him otherwise i would only kill his 'necron' units and the game would end in turn 4 good luck with the battle and if you have questions you can always PM or mail me

Thank's very much for the advice, I play necrons because there is a group of us and we all play diffent races but removing the phase out rule for now is a good idea thanks.
