Hey, I've been asked by another dakkadakka member if I could build him some terrain/scenery for his 40K and Fantasy boards as he is starting up a club for younger players in North Wales (You'll have to ask him for the details, I think his username is "sbu", I'll confirm next post). I am doing the 40K first as I am more skilled at building 40K terrain than Fantasy, I doubt I'll get on the Fantasy before the dealine. I will be posting pictures and telling you about my progress but I can't at the moment as I'm on the laptop and the pics so far are on the pc and that's in use. Iam doing this as I do commisioned terrain/scenery for warahmmer, look at my profile for more info. However, if you want me to do anything big at the moment, it will take a while as I'm doing this until the deadline of April 1st. After that though, I'll be back up to speed. Please follow this thread and feel free to contact me if you want to know anything else.

Here are the first pictures, sorry about the quality, it should be clearer once it's painted. It's the small section of the crashed aquila lander that I ahd spare with some fire/flames made using green stuff. Also, these are the first pictures I've ever done on dakka so if they don'twork say so. Thanks.

Sorry, I ended up posting the pictures in a different post from the description due to this being my first time posting pics. Thanks to FM Ninja 48 for the advice. This is the small section of the crashed aquila lander available from GW, I have modelled on some fire/flames using green stuff.

Interesting , what effect are you trying to achieve with the green stuff, is it moss/lichen?

Could you please check my recent posts, not just the pics before asking any questions. It is meant to be fire/flames, the picture is not very clear and it is not painted yet. I admit it is annoying that the explanation and pics were separate but I've put them together now but in future please look at more than pictures. Also, the club starter dakkadakka member who asked me to do this is called "sbu" and is starting up a club in North Wales for all ages so if you live in North Wales and am looking for a game PM him. Thanks.

YIKES! Easy there tiger, we are all friends here. If you are planning on using this to get some business for yourself you should probably expect questions. After all if you post here showing your work be ready for some critiques and questions Otherwise what is or was the point of your thread

The flames look good now you mention it. Like they are blowing in the wind. Although i did try and read all of the comments before posting but i admit i skim read it because i was hosting a friends party, no offence meant by missing the flames comment. Good luck with the rest of the build.

Sorry, my last post wasn't meant to sound angry or anything. I should have the next piece posted up tonight (hopefully). By the way, for those who may be interested this piece is costing the customer £3 - £4 (painted to an average standard) excluding postage. However, if anybody wants me to do this exact piece again, it would cost more as I don't have another crashed aquila spare, but not too much more or you could buy the aquila so you have the whole thing and send me the piece. Thanks for the comments.

I have literally just finished the next piece of terrain, a freight container (unpainted). I have also included an objective marker I made when I found some spare bits and accidentally mixed too much green stuff. Comments and critique welcome.
